ngl when Elden Ring came out and I saw all the "BECOME OP IN 25 MINUTES BLEED BUILD" or "2 MILLION RUNES IN 10 MINUTES BEST RUNE FARMING SPOT" I got kinda pissed.

For sure everybody gets to play the game however they want but the combination of "elitisits" + "min maxers" + saying people need to git good when they themselves look up OP builds + ignoring huge chunks of the game and spending hours killing red albanurics, definitely made me feel some type of way.

And its From Softwares fault for creating the system 100%

i mean it's gotta be for engagement or something, like getting rage views and comments to "fix their s***" lol. I guess same for going straight to bosses, maybe the idea is that people don't wanna see/don't care about them exploring? They just hear ER is hard and want to see them struggle on bosses.

I think Miyazaki and co. also saw it that way and thats why they made exploration "mandatory"

This is why Sekiro and Shadow of the Erdtree are Fromsoft’s two most balanced pieces of content imo. Breaking the game isn’t fun imo. Especially when you do it by accident like I did multiple times in the base game

The first phase of the last boss is easier than a lot of bosses in the game
