After a 2 year absence I feel ready to make my return. Now torn on whether to start a new game or attempt to relearn and finish up from where I was - which isn't exactly the best spot for that given I'm at Malenia.
You just need to beat mohgwyn and radahn
DLC world is entirely separate from regular game progress outside of those 2 bosses
You don’t need to beat Malenia to access mohgwyn
My hands are gonna be fused to my controller the moment this drops.
My s***’s gonna look ripped straight from a Croenberg picture.

So its not important which level im?
So its not important which level im?
It’s important in the sense that level matters to how difficult the game is and what weapons you can and can’t use
It’s not important to accessing the dlc. You can be level 1 as long as you beat the 2 bosses first
Might run it back one more time before the DLC, forgot the last ending I got was the frenzied flame
Been running this back and there's so many side quest I missed in my first playthrough because I killed every npc
2nd run complete. took 36 hours compared to 67 hours in my first playthrough. went with the duskborn ending this time. i haven't beat malenia on this new character but i might try to before the dlc drops idk. faith damage fell off so hard at the end that i had to respec my character and ended up powerstancing 2 +24 beastman's cleavers and going full strength, they completely shredded radagon and elden beast
ready for the dlc

Even the Turtle Pope?
Was gonna run up a last minute int/dex build but this game is too big for that lmao
Looking at the number of new incantations in the DLC I should be good walking in with my day 1 strength/faith s***

Yeah I read about that after I had posted. Have already beaten both of them and level 150 so not gonna start again. Just can barely remember how to play or how anything works.
Hearing reviewers saying the final boss is a tier above Malenia & Orphan of Kos...
Excuse me?
Optional boss on Malenia level.
Final boss even more difficult
Damn
Ngl, I f***in struggled with Elden Beast lmao
Not even gonna get started on how much time it took me to take down Malenia

Orphan of Kos is so much harder than Malenia imo. Sword Saint Isshin too. Never really got the Malenia hype tbh. Elden Ring doesn’t have a boss that would crack my top 10 hardest soulsborne bosses so I’m hoping the dlc will change that

My friend had a breakup right before Elden Ring came out and murdered Varre the second he called him maidenless

Kos felt like a crapshoot to me - basically hoping for a lucky rng moment. Same as Malenia. Not a big fan of those. Isshin is arguably a perfect final boss. You gear up the entire game to be able to defeat him. Using every combat mechanic in the book.
