hoarah loux is probably my least favorite boss in this. i think his move set is pretty cool but man he just attacks non stop. first time i've fought him since 2022 and i'm surprised fromsoft never made any changes to him, especially cause they nerfed other bosses. also feels like one of the few bosses with legit input reads. could be such a great fight if his aggressiveness was toned down a bit cause otherwise it just feels frustrating imo

If youre completely blind then these guys point you the way to catacombs when you see them out there

For the rest I guess there is a more „know how“ approach to find them. You just kinda get a knack for where devs hide stuff. Usually they dont put structures or mobs somewhere for no reason. If you see ruins there might be stairs and if you see some weird passageways they might lead to a dungeon

Mountaintops is super overhated, I love the aesthetic of the area and Fire Giant is a great boss imo with the Forge of the Giants being a really cool setpiece

Consecrated Snowfield, now that one is utter garbage but I consider it a different area

Im with you, def one of the least appealing main fights to me.. but he seems to be generally liked a lot.
The 2nd phase is funny but way too goofy for my liking. That cutscene as well “warrriooooooorrrr!!!” It’s just really cringe and takes me out of that feeling of dread and turns ER into Tekken for a moment.

His OST is one of the best in the game though

And dark souls suffers from a similar problem, still one of the greatest games oat

I liked Mountaintop of the Giants. Snowfield’s atmosphere is super cool and eerie but yeah the layout is pretty s*** and the town before the Haligtree is not fun.

Same, I def feel it's overhated
But it does lack the grandeur of the initial first few areas
Still, it's very somber and atmospheric and it sort of fits the whole calm before the final storm feeling tbh, that's why I like it
