i find Kai to be insufferable but seeing clips and streams of his Elden Ring run on my timeline has made me want to go back and replay it but with no summons tbh
It’s worth doing a solo run, whole different game

for sure
and it’ll be a good refresher for when the DLC comes out too

Just be ready for that solo Commander Niall fight
Man the PS5 version sucks so bad. The constant hitching in the open world makes it almost unplayable. It’s crazy to me that they never went back to fix it.
This Kai stuff has been awesome for this game. Seen so many viral tweets sharing their own experiences with first DS games and hard bosses etc. I’d be curious to see if they had a boost in player counts in the midst of it all

That was probably the biggest marketing push the game has had outside of launch. No way there wasn’t a significant number of new players introduced to it. His audience is typically younger more casual gamers, for a majority of them it was likely their first time being exposed to a fromsoft game.

I really wonder what’s up because I see a decent amount of comments about poor performance on ps5 but I have 400 hours on it and never once had an issue

Same here, I see the comments a lot and I’ve never had a problem. I just figured it was something I didn’t notice personally.

Have you ever tried the ps4 version running on a ps5? I did my first full playthrough on the native ps5 version but never really noticed the issues until switching over to the ps4 version. Once you get used to a smooth locked 60 it’s hard to go back imo.
What type of hating ass s*** IGN on
2024 the year of beef
It’s unlikely and isn’t it legally required to announce if you’re doing something sponsored ?
Why would they hide that it’s a sponsored stream
It is legally required

Never tried it but I mean I’ve played the ps5 version for 400 hours on framerate mode and either I’m blind, people are way too nitpicky, or I just never had the same issues.
I do notice a difference between frame rate and resolution mode, I’ve actually started playing through again in resolution mode since I don’t find it difficult enough anymore to really need the 60fps.
don't think I'll have time to replay it before the dlc but looking at builds rn and will respec to have some fun when the dlc drops
I’m pretty sure where I’m at right now at the 8 hour mark on my second playthrough took me like 20 hours at least my first go around.
What’s especially hilarious about beating this game is how much easier every FromSoft game is prior to this one.

I’ve done one full playthrough on the ps5 version and it wasn’t the end of the world, I got used to the stuttering a couple hours in. I guess if you’ve only ever played the game like that it wouldn’t be that noticeable after a while.

It’s definitely not just in my head though, if you go to 5:26 in the video those little hitches on the frame time graph are what I’m talking about.
He's slowly winning me over

Heavy agree. I played through the first time doing ps4 version on ps5 and then went to ps5 version for my second playthrough and the ps4 version is SO much better i had to change it back lmao. That locked 60fps is just so much better for the type of game it is. The extra fidelity & s*** you get in ps5 version lowkey looks worse. You can tell it was made with the ps4 in mind

Yeah the next gen version isn’t really all that crazy. The only upgrades I can see is the increased LOD and texture resolution. I feel like the DLC will probably have a more noticeable difference between the versions, but I’m holding out hope that since it’s a smaller map there won’t be as much hitching.
Bruh elden ring definitely the hardest souls like game.i just started another play through and I struggled against margit. I shouldn't be that rusty cuz I breezed past lies of p not too long ago

It’s more that the game is designed around you exploring limgrave and leveling up a bunch before margit
