Every time I’ve stopped playing it calls back to me like the green goblin mask this the greatest game of all time
It feels like home fr, having the time of my life with this replay

Run a theme build like death sorcerer or crucible knight or flame monk with magma blade if you don’t mind farming for 6 hours lol. Or a clean rot knight cosplay build.
Or try a int/faith golden order incantations build, discus of light is insanely efficient only costs 3FP
Safe to say this is likely to be a 20+ hour long expansion given what we know?
I mean, $40 ain’t nothing to scoff at.
I followed a guide to get Giant Crusher early, this s*** is hilarious
I wish I didn’t kill Margit before getting it, I could’ve stomped his ass first try
Agreed regarding Patches and Tanith, but I feel like Nepheli/Gostoc/Haight, Sellen, Hyetta were all pretty complete?
Idk how many unanswered questions this DLC will answer because to me it feels like a cut/unfinished content being added. Mohg/Miquella always felt the most incomplete to me. One last legacy dungeon in the shadow area were meant to be in the base game for a miquella ending but left cut and they're adding it back in with additional content 2 years has allowed them to add to.
Like i said, hyetta is more bad writing than incomplete quest, but for sellen for example, we go the entire region of liurnia, caelid and altus with no extra dialogue besides a couple lines when you give her seluvis' letter. Its not until you meet azur in mt gelmir you get to see her ending, at least 50 hours after you've begun her quest. Despite going through the region and the legacy dungeon known for sorceries, she has NOTHING to say about any of that.
The nepheli trio is also underdeveloped imo, nepheli has the most thought put into her, but the ending is disappointing for her arc, kenneth haight is a non factor, not having anything interesting to say/add about anything thats happened in limgrave, nor a character arc to speak about, he simply accepts her as the new ruler of stormveil, and gostoc does literally nothing, when cut content suggested he was godrick's son and was planned to have a rivalry with nepheli for the throne, which would've been more interesting.
I didnt even mention some entire quests being added post launch, i simply cant come to terms with how they messed up this aspect when they usually care a lot about npcs. Limgrave area had peak npc interactions. My guess is they had no clue how to design their cryptic questlines in a huge open world with no directions so they went with the flow and called It a day
Is anybody else overleveled every time you get to Morgott? I always do Godrick/Rennala/Radahn/Rykard first so that’s probably why but it feels like a natural progression until I get to Morgott and stomp him like a bug

Yeah he was always pretty flimsy for me cause I tend to save Leyndell for later

Mannnn golden order is such a good idea, I’m gonna go for it
good looks
do you know if pvp meta still 150?

For my golden order build I ended up using death's poker for the weapon art and sword of N&F since it's still OP. Rocking the radiant gold mask for drip + bonus damage to golden order incants
Statwise I'm basically shooting for like 50 int and 40 faith but idk. Kinda followed this build almost

Idk about level meta tbh I don't do PVP but I usually cap myself at 150 anyways
Your first time taking that platform down and seeing Siofra River was a special moment

Appreciate it man thank you
This was one of my previous character’s drip so probably just gonna transfer those items over

Your first time taking that platform down and seeing Siofra River was a special moment
From do moments like that incredibly well, walking up to the Stormveil gate after beating Margit and going down the Siofra elevator for the first time are seared into my brain. I hope the DLC gives us a couple more

Your first time taking that platform down and seeing Siofra River was a special moment
Walking in the limgrave lake towards the horde of skeletons when suddenly a dragon appears and rains hellfire all over
Real game of thrones s***

One of the best moments ever, on par with DS3 exiting the catacombs to enter anor londo. fromsoft’s art design is on another level, they’re able to create these incredible environments that are somewhat grounded in reality but still look like nothing we’ve ever seen before
I love the different ways you reach the Legacy dungeons in Elden Ring. From the complete full assault against Stormveil to get that coward Godrick or the puzzle solving mystery that takes you to the edge of the world of the Haligtree. Vulcano Manor is hidden because they are traitors to the Erdtree or they act as some secret society and personally scout you. Everything is so memorable
Miyasaki said that they will have less distinctions between legacy dungeons and the open world and I hope that means more of these „wow“ moments when getting to the place

Yeah, Stormveil and Raya Lucaria where especially memorable for me.
Stormveil as this imposing, giant castle that you've been working towards getting to in the first 10 or so hours of the game, and when you finally arrive you see that it's in complete disarray and decay, with a horror-like atmosphere with all the bodies of grafting victims just laying around everywhere, dark corridors and monsters that inhabit them.
Then, a complete 180 for the 2nd dungeon, a magical academy that looks like it fell out of Harry Potter, but something is off about it. From the emptiness of the halls to the monsters roaming around castle grounds, it's just a fantastic atmosphere.
Of course, Haligtree is amazing as well, but by the time I got around to it, I just wanted to complete the game after 2 months of playing it and sinking a 100+ hours and sort of just rushed through it using a walkthrough, not even gonna lie. But it's an amazing dungeon, I just wasn't in the mood for it anymore tbh
Working towards Volcano Manor was great, as well, my 1st playthrough I got to it by being invited, but in my 2nd playthrough, I deliberately went through the Mt. Gelmir climb, and that s*** is amazing, as well. Climbing through a battlefield infested mountain, enemies everywhere, forts, battlements, etc. - when you finally make it, it feels like a real achievement.

Its storytelling through gameplay at its finest. Just the way you get to the place already gives you a distinct impression of the place which is then supported by the visuals.
This is how open worlds are supposed to be. Every area tells a story that even people that pay 0 attention to lore will catch up.
This is how Elden Ring achieves one of the in my opinion best feelings of adventure in gaming
After almost 1000 hours in this I think it’s pretty safe to say this is my favorite game of all time. I’m being edged waiting on the DLC my balls are absolutely swollen at this point
