If you go by aesthetic I even like Lost Izalezh
ngl
Facts lost Izalith really feels like you discovered some even more ancient civilization with architecture totally different from anything else you’ve seen in the game and buried so far underground. It’s just a slog to actually go through and the game drags at that point.
making it my mission to beat this game as my first soulsbourne
same but just started bloodborne too but Elden Ring is focus cause of DLC

Lost Izalith looks sick its just not finished. I really like New Londo too.
F*** the Catacombs though that place is pure ass

DLC probably not coming until end of the year so you've got time. Bloodborne is much shorter than ER
playing the games in the opposite order is actually a pretty decent idea imo
Like going from Elden Ring, Sekiro, DS3 by the time you reach bloodborne you probably can stomach the nonsense of the earlier games

Idk man it’s crazy difficult for me to go back to the older games because the gameplay and design have evolved so much and become way smoother.
Doesn’t help that DS3 was probably my least favorite, so the only ones I go back to are BB and Sekiro at this point. ER surpassed all the Dark Souls games to me

Its 100% nostalgia tho but nothing will ever touch Dark Souls

Oh facts DS1 one of the GOAT moments in gaming for me
but my ER first playthrough gave me similar vibes to that first DS1 playthrough

I’m replaying DS1, and I gotta say I am realizing this as well. I still love the level and world design, and the gameplay is great, but yea Elden Ring truly perfected the formula.
On another note, it’s funny how I’m breezing thru this game
It took me 100 hours to beat DS1 the first time and 10 hours in im already on my last Lord Soul
That boss run at the end is crazy they really went all out.
Dragonlord-Maliketh-Gideon-Godfrey-Radagon-Elden Beast one after another
Also am I the only one who thinks Mohg is waaay harder than Malenia? It could be the builds I’ve used. Dex/arc and pure faith for my two runs
Incantations don’t seem to put a dent in Mohg’s healthbar, but you can use Burn O Flame to throw Malenia around like a rag doll

na once you learn his moves real well he’s easy af
oh and you gotta have that blood tear for mixed physick

Yeah he’s not too bad compared to some other fromsoft games, but I just feel like malenia’s difficulty is a little overstated given some of the tools you can use against her
Rivers of blood and Burn O Flame specifically

you can cheese her with blasphemous blade weapon art too lmfao it knocks her down if you get a close direct hit, and it’ll knock her 3 times in a row if you time it right so you can hit her with it like 7 times in ~10 seconds
I beat this God Skin Duo boss last night with a summon because doing it alone was a pain in the ass. They really seem to heavily imply to use it anyways by making a second hidden path to the boss door with the summon there.
Most annoying boss combo ever.
played about 30 minutes, this open world is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! gonna lose myself in this game over the next few months
More and more convinced were gonna fight Godwyn here
While Radahn was the most fearsome demigod of the shattering I believe Godwyn couldve been the strongest of them all.
And this might be a hot take but I think fighting Miquella would kind of destroy the mysteriousness of his character. Would rather have him be an unlikely ally
Hypothetical here:
You’re on the verge of beating the final boss in a new Soulsborne title, literally one hit away.
The boss has jumped to the other side of the arena and you have to sprint across to deliver the final hit.
Suddenly, you s*** yourself. Just raw diarrhea.
Do you immediately stop and go to change yourself, or persevere through your leaking trousers?
