Lmaoooooooo Altus Plateau is mid game if anything and a lot of the enemies in there feel like pretty early game
Morgott like the gatekeeper to the end game
Man I’m fighting for my life out here in Caelid these f***ing birds and dogs spooky as f***
I remember wandering to Caelid by mistake pretty early in the game and I didn’t come back for a very, very long time.

kinda but he's not strong enough to be that technically

Sadly... he could be if they double his health cause his moveset is for sure tough

Thats the fun of Caelid
They did something similar in DS1 where the most obvious way leads to an overleveled graveyard with what feels like endless skeletons and the real way is hidden under some bridge
Shoutouts all the fellas that dropped Dark souls 1 after getting wrecked at the graveyard for an hour

I think the mountaintop of the giants was the only part I didn’t enjoy, I just got slaughtered way too much up there.

Entire snow area just to run through to the important places tbh
I personally like the feel of it since its just that dangerous like the immersion fits the gameplay
But yeah objectively just not on par with the rest
So burnt out after 100%-ing (besides the alternate ending achievements) this game on PC, but tempted to get it on PS5 for some reason, probably won't tho
I will say that it has the least replay value of any of the From Software games I've played, it's still REALLY good, like top 2 of their output, but it's just so big that replaying seems like much more of an ordeal

that’s why you don’t 100% a game on the first playthrough man
Damn, my first playthrough when the game came out the Elden Beast just glitched and stopped moving and attacking. I had to run it back in NG+ to get some fulfillment
That's crazy
somehow gave me a way harder time than Melania, I felt so s***ty that I made it all the way to the final boss of a hard ass game and couldn't finish the job
I've always been trash at Souls games too so I felt so accomplished finally finishing it

Yeah he’s way way too easy (like most bosses in the game sadly)

But i also feel that's partly the case because it's so easy to get OP in elden ring compared to the other games

True. And I love the game but you really just end up OP by complete accident in a lot of cases

I remember my first playthrough i wanted to do an INT build bc magic looked dope af in the previews, then i heard about there being a boss called Queen of the Full Moon so i was like f*** yeah i'm gonna make a character that's tied to like moon stuff
So very early on i found the Moonveil katana which obviously scaled with Int and i was like yup this is the weapon for me
Mind you this was in the first days of ER being released so it was Moonveil at it's most BUSTED it's ever been
Completely sliced through the game especially when i also found a mimic tear later on
Fun times though

Yeah I beat my first playthrough with Rivers of Blood. Heard everybody talking about malenia being the hardest thing ever but then decimated her healthbar with a few well timed dodges and L2 hits

yeah rivers of blood is just ridiculous in pve but i really enjoyed my arcane playthrough. Call me edgy but having incantations that made you throw blood on enemies was so much fun

Good on you for finally beating him, I can't lie he definitely gave me more trouble than I care to admit

Yeah even being Op in the game is still really fun. Sometimes it’s nice to not be frustrated for a change and just wreck some s*** with some fancy moves
My faith run on the other hand kicking my ass up and down the block
hey! I’ve been wanting to play this game for as long as it’s been out, but I figured I would wait until I finally buy a PS5 to get it, since to me the PS4 cannot handle it properly.
Has anyone played it on PS4 and can confirm/refute this please?
hooked

PS4 runs better than expected. It’s a little sluggish but definitely playable for sure, it’s not a downgraded/bad version of the game or anything. The game was basically made for PS4 and the PS5 version is just an upgraded version of a PS4 game.
To me, having played both versions on each console, PS5 running PS4 Pro version is definitely by far the best way to play, it’s essentially a locked 60FPS the entire game and runs perfectly. PS5 version has way more variable framerate and the difference graphically is negligible tbh. I actually prefer the way the PS4 version handles grass/nature, the PS5 version processes it differently and not exactly in a better way (IMO)
