Never played a souls game. Should i buy this?

My first full experience of a souls game. Definitely recommend. Even things of past soul games like the messages players could leave felt so cool cause it was basically brand new to me.

I was prisoner and stuck with the int build but you can always respec and change your build if you’re not f***ing with it. All about if you want close range or distance. Game is huge man just hop in

You can change it any time during the game but you have to get to a certain part first

You might have too much heavy stuff on you, the lighter your equipment load, the faster you dodge

If you open the map and see the sites of grace they have a little trail that hints at you where to go. But also just explore around the first area, go in caves and fight things, get familiar with the gameplay.

You don’t HAVE to fight anything in the open-world for the most part. But exploration and discovery is a huge part of the first playthrough. So you generally want to fight most things at least once.

Also they’re f***ing you up cuz you aggro’d like the whole camp. Try stealth and fighting one or two at a time. Also your dodge roll is “laggy” very likely because you’ve got too much s*** equipped and are on “heavy load” in the bottom right of your equipment menu. Unequip s*** until you’re at least medium load

Lmao dont aggro all of them at once
Use stealth and get behind them without them noticing you, then press R1 or whatever the button for your light attack is, you'll do massive damage to them, then just finish them

Try to aggro one or two of them at a time at most

If your dodge is slow, you have too much s*** equipped, I see you're using the longsword which is heavy as f***. I think the samurai katana you start with is one of the best starting weapons in the game, you can just use that tbh, will probably let you dodge faster. Always try to keep your load at medium at least, that will let you dodge fast enough to avoid most s***

Also, one thing good to know is that in most Fromsoftware games, you're invulnerable during the dodge roll window. So you don't need to always dodge away from the enemy, the timing is the thing that's really important. With a proper dodge, you can actually close the gap between you and the enemy and get a couple of good hits in
