until you get to liken 60 vigor you should want it to be your highest attribute. its also better to put your attributes into 2 other stats (unless ur going for pure build) while also keeping some for endurance) and getting to the base for the weapon you want to use and making sure that weapon scales with ur main attribute
for example my current build at level 50 would look like this:
30 vigor
30 arcane
17 dex
17 endurance
12 strength
everything else stays same
level 100:
50 vigor
40 arcane
20 dex
25 endurance
13 mind
12 strength
everything else stays same
level 150
60 vigor
70 arcane
27 endurance
30 dex
12 strength
13 mind

oh that would make sense to prioritize vigor. I've been buffing my guy up to use large swords and lightning. (I don't know what a pure build is)
I spent some points when I was exploring sorceries.
Only souls game I've played was ds1 and kinda defaulted into using a sword/shield with fireballs.
Dam took me like 10 tries to kill the Farum Azula Beastman before I realized I can drop weapons and make myself faster in rolling and dogdeing
Started as a vagabond knight but mostly been playin stealth af lmao
The first time you exit the tutorial area and see Limgrave or whats it called
Just got the Flail but cant equip it yet, I need like 3 more dexterity so mostly been using the longsword
Killed the erdtree watchdog whats it called 2nd try, just used the pack of wolves summon and they aggroed him while I hit his ass with R2.
Been grinding runes, killin trolls and larger groups of enemies to be able to use the switchblade I found at the lake with the big-ass dragon. Amazing weapon btw
Tried going to the castle on stormhill, but I feel like I might run into a boss there and I still feel underleveled tbh, plus exploring is too much fun.

Where are you boss wise in the game
And there are some weapons for some reason equitable if you two hand em. At a lower strength cost. Idk why. Lmao
I guess it’s easier to swing a heavier object with two arms vs one so I get it
pretty useful with some builds where you’re keeping strength to a minimum tbh

I've beaten a ton of mini bosses too.
There's a knight in the Academy that's been kicking my ass (Moongrum). I have a +11 Dismounter. He seems to read every one of my moves like a book.

do you have an ashes of war on the weapon?
and lure him out into the staircase so he gets hit by the boulder
then ur facing rennala

oh that's a next level play
. I've been going toe to toe with him for awhile. I might have ashes of war on my sword (glintstone) but it's mostly for the dmg buff.

i think its better to play the game how u want as long as you can beat the bosses and tougher enemies but just make sure ur weapon is scaling with the attributes ur investing in. if your having a a hard time ill help you with renalla because after that you can rebirth and change ur attributes
rennalla is weak to physical damage so not super tough but can be annoying

that's what I was thinking too.
The thing is this game is persistently online. so the min/max stuff has a lot more merit than I want to give it credit for.

yah i would say it def gets easier to focus on one or two core attributes in addition to vigor/endurance. it helps you be able to weild certain weapons or use certain spells faster so its a benefit
This game needs cross saves. I put 80hrs in on my 2013 xbox one then upgraded to PC i wanna finish my playthrough but it runs so bad on my xbox it hurts my eyes after playing pc for a while & im not about to buy it again if i have to restart
100000%, only game where it's better not to is DS2 (again, it's complicated, very weird game)
Very *shitty game

Make sure you’re upgrading your weapons too
most important thing you can do for damage output

you can also take him to the elevator behind him and get off when he comes on. Lever takes him up and he just falls
@Ygorsunny @NobodyWins y'all need help with anything before i start ng+?

I’m good for now. I’m level 14

I whooped him today. just kept banging on him with my sword. drank all my red potions.
Got to the second phase of the boss. Tried 3 or so times. Putting the game down for now. but I'll be back to attack the boss in the next couple days.
Gonna look into more build stuff. and general strats. I think I can kill this boss with a crossbow though.

yea I'm chilling. I have a ton of strength and am tearing up the boss rn. just need to avoid the attacks.

if ur using a strength build best thing to do is just run up to her in the beginning and wail on her to break her poise
most of the spells are easy dodges but the comut azur will kill you instantly as will the spinning staff thing
also when she summons a dragon or whatever, just run away
Damn that man bloody finger nerijus killed me like 5 times
And that dude that spawns to help you is slow as s***
Managed to make it til he came in and then we both killed him, but that s*** got me on my nerves, like move faster motherfucker im here gettin slain
