I don't know. I don't think I went to him too early at all and I just got savagely destroyed in an instant by some bullshit (it isn't my first From). But I haven't played it post-nerf. That said, it is a gimmick boss, so it doesn't matter if the boss is easy or not: it's all about the spectacle and the summons.

Finally got around beating this game. Radagon was a great final boss, the Elden Beast was a bit lame tho. Forgive me but I b****ed out against Malenia, but trust when I say I'll f*** her up in NG+. I'm sure if I didn't take multiple month long breaks I'd probably at least be able to stand a somewhat better chance

One of the greatest games I've played for sure, and I'd say the most visually stunning. No doubt about that
