just gotta decide which build I want to run through the dlc with
I'm excited af, most of the times the most iconic bosses in their games are in the DLC so i'm expecting some god tier cinematic fights for this one
Dlc confirmed?
Dataminers found new info in the latest update that’s pointing to DLC. They found new “you died” / “enemy slain” or whatever texts that talk about “duel won” or something like that
Divinity os2 is like the 7th game in the divinity franchise and skyrim is the 5th game in the elder scrolls franchise so you’re just making s*** up with the “established franchise” thing
Which franchise do you think is more popular/recognizable? Because I didn't even know that about Divinity and you only know that because you looked it up
Having more games doesn't automatically mean the series is well known, that's what I meant by established franchise
And besides you're still wrong because there's only 6 games and that's if you're counting the RTS spinoff. In which case, you should count The Elder Scrolls Online too
Crying at you nitpicking to feel like you got a victory here, didn't even respond to what I was actually saying.

There’s 7 main games and the 8th is a spin-off
7 games in and the franchise isn’t established? Oof
ESO came out after skyrim dumbass
Your whole point was nonsense anyways, I was having a discussion about development time with someone else about divinity vs skyrim and you jumped in and made it about something else
Bethesda game studios is a developer lol and their team is almost the same size as Larian studios. Bethesda softworks, the publisher, isn’t who makes skyrim
also you said it was a new studio and I looked it up they been around 20 years
no man they had 40 employees for the original sin games
they just expanded after the success of Original Sin2...
and Larian Studios was basically just Swen Vincke who just named all the games they made Divinity thats not an established franchise its just a name ... he took a massive risk and crowdfunded the OS games after reforming his bankrupt company.

Dude holy s*** whatever, we’ve gone so far from the point which was skyrim had a much longer dev time than fromsoftware games because of the amount of dialogue trees, voice acting, and hundreds of quests
edit: pretty sure you just made up the thing about os2 having 10x the dialogue as skyrim btw I looked it up and found nothing to support your point

You're reading the graph on the right of that Wikipedia page wrong. Focus instead of rushing to win an argument on KTT, I've seen this post change like 3 times already now ffs
And Elder Scrolls only got established at Oblivion, Morrowind at the earliest (established maybe isn't the best word but I just mean popular)
thread popping again (for whatever reason I dunno)
look Miyazaki hype ios back
now anounce dlc c***

You don’t even know what the conversation we were having is about huh, you just butted in and focused on some random point
source
Just google bruh data miners found that s*** it's all over the internet
I hope sooner than later lots of DLCs for souls games came like 10 months after release but
this supposed leaked

shows Q3 2023 lets hope its the 2nd dlc or this pic is fake

I was actually responding to what you said about longer development time would've led to Divinity OS2 being better and selling more. You then chose to focus on some random point that Divinity is as big a franchise as The Elder Scrolls just because they have a similar amount of games

That’s not what happened at all, nice try
You said elder scrolls was the more established franchise that’s what made me respond about divinity having more games
Someone else said os2 was better than skyrim (according to anyone whose played both, they said) I was just making a cheeky response

By established I mean popular/known. Are you going to say that's not the case?
I bought Skyrim in 2011 off word of mouth and hype, Oblivion or Morrowind established TES series. OS2 is the first one to have that kind of effect for Divinity
That may have been me

Elder scrolls is definitely more popular, but I’d say they’re both equally established franchises
Oh lmao it was you
it was Kenig who brought up os2 because they said it had “10k more voice lines” than skyrim but I can’t find evidence for that so I’m convinced it was cap

I tried googling it and couldn’t find any numbers for os2 I guess I just suck at the internet

Think this pic ended up being fake
been playing video games all my life and it baffles me to say this but this might be the best game i’ve ever played. There’s just something magical about that first playthrough.
Those first moments in limgrave felt so grand yet rather funny looking back cause i had absolutely no clue what was going on. The world felt insanely huge and just fighting my way through the weeping peninsula felt like a game of its own. Thought my save was f***ed when that one trap chest took me to caelid, felt like hell just being there. After defeating godrick i realized that this might be the one, that view over Liurnia will never get out of my head. The fact that there was so much more to see and to do, so many more fights that were going to keep me at the edge of my seat… i was so shocked. Places like the underground cities, the volcano manor and the sewers had me triple guessing if i missed out on some area when progressing. Quest lines like Rannis were just the cherry on top for me. The games atmosphere is just unmatched in my eyes.
And to think that i completely randomly bought it out of boredom, i had never even played a souls title before. I had to write a long ass thesis for uni during the release and every evening with elden ring felt so rewarding. Some days i didn’t even get to writing, just ran up this masterpiece again while lighting up a joint with my roommate. Maybe it’s those moments that make the game so great to me and it just feels so marvelous cause it all happened during a special time in my life.
My only critique is that my reward for discovering everything and taking my time was being way too overpowered. The late game could’ve been even better if they managed to balance that. Malenia still took me ages lol.
