Marais executioner sword or Regalia of eochaid for your weapons. Otherwise arcane infuse whatever you want.

Bethesda not even close to dead lol, elder scrolls 5 is arguably the best yet. Aside from the critical acclaim and the awards, it’s the 2nd best selling rpg of all time.

The hype for elder scrolls 6 is insane, and they have a bigger budget and team now than ever before. It’s gonna be game of the life tbh

that was a decade ago lol, and bethesda hasn't had a game that big since. idk why yall use it as evidence.

the only reason i'd expect them to actually try and improve is cause it's one of, if not their main, series, but even that's not a guarantee

these games take 6+ years of development anyways, 10 years is nothing

they didn’t make elder scrolls online, so their last elder scrolls game es5. and the series has done nothing but improve on the formula from morrowind to oblivion to skyrim, all classics. There’s nothing to really show they’re moving in the wrong direction with that series.

Why would I judge es6 based on a fallout game lol, they have seperate teams working on each anyways, that’s why they were able to push out oblivion, fallout 3, skyrim and fallout 4 all 3-ish years apart

i mean, still developed by bethesda, and unless it's the same exact team from skyrim then there's also nothing implying it'll actually be same quality or better.

yall are just running off hype, nostalgia, and name alone. idk why you gotta pretend like there's some supporting evidence and like it's not just usual fan hype like these gta6 ppl or other games.

    that's just my perspective.

In that 10 years Fromsoft released Dark Souls 1 2 3, Bloodborne, Sekiro and Elden Ring. 10 years is massive and Bethesda's been slackin

    Skyrim's still cool tho

Dark souls 1 came out before skyrim actually

And starfield is about to come out

These games are much more complex than fromsoft games because there’s 100x the dialogue, decisions, and branching paths in quests compared to blood borne, sekiro, and dark souls

Linear action games are so much easier to make

Elden ring the only game that took 3 years of development in that list, and even it has 20x less quests and dialogue than fallout 4

morrowind oblivion and skyrim are classics, it’s not “hype or nostalgia,” they just are. Es5 is the 2nd best selling rpg of all time and it received 9s and 10s across the board so you’re being a contrarian tbh. Even if you have a unique opinion it’s not how most feel and you know that.

That much writing, voice acting, and editing takes years more work than a linear action game… it’s a completely different type of development process for games like that. You made a dumb comparison and you should feel bad, end of discussion.

Also what argument are you even making, they’re story-driven rpgs so 80% of the game is questing and dialogue trees

Divinity OS2 has 10k more voice lines than skyrim and had 3 years development time and was done by a new studio with way less ressources than bethesda

  • Oct 16, 2022

Starfield going for 250k voice lines already a massive red flag to me
