I don’t really understand this s*** cuz I thought the Ranni used the black knives to kill Godwyn so I don’t get why they’re against her now

I don't think she commands the black knives, they just worked together to kill Godwyn. By reviving Ranni and doing the whole Age of Stars s*** I think she's technically going against them which is why they go to kill Iji and anyone else allied with her.

Ugh started a new play through and I find myself using like the same weapons as the first one

The latest patch actually nerfed mimic, so now black knife and clean rot are the new OP ashes.

Mimic sucked to me. Maybe cause my build wasn’t really good for the AI
For the most part I didnt use any weapon or skill that could one shot bosses. Most OP thing I had was Marais executioner sword, but that requires some precise aim and if they move it’s useless.

I used the Blasphemous Blade for Elden Beast cause that s*** was cheap af.

Next play through imma go dex/int. Make a battlemage

Dex/arc such a fun build, I love bleed

And sleep pots are the best. Tossing one into a group and then just casually offing them one by one
