DirtyI know that. I’m asking how many are there. Like some NPC’s are just random quests, not for the end game. So I wanted to know which ones effect the end game and have different endings.
Seen some posts on reddit that tackle this, but was scared to click for spoilers.

Bro this is insane.
I just had a dog break my poise while I was blocking with 100% damage shield, stun lock me and that hit me again for 1800 damage and killed me

Has anyone actually gone to the blood lake part of Mohgwynn’s, past the Albinaurics?
Where the giant bird that everyone farms is?
Now I just got to the Mountaintops so I can’t speak on anything past that….
But I’m level 130 and getting my ass absolutely destroyed here.
I always wondered why you got so many runes from those birds, 11k…. Well now I know why…
I don’t think I’ve faced a harder enemy in this game. These f***in birds are harder than almost any boss I’ve fought. Whether I fight then on horseback or on foot…. I get demolished.
Add in the fact that theres 3 of them and there’s like 20 rotten stray dogs plus the blood geysers in the lake? This little area has gotta be one of the most difficult in the entire game.
I collected everything but I’ve yet to kill all the birds and dogs in one run and now I’m not stopping until I do, out of spite cause I’m so angry
The little lake with the 11k rune birds is the biggest bullshit area in the game. 3 invaders spawn there with constant gank from broken Bleed dogs and those spam birds.
I have never been there without getting completely wrecked literally the hardest place in the game
always just run past it

I think another difficult area is the bottom of the haligtree where those enemies spawn out of the ground. It's just below the awful balista area with the avatar boss

I went there on my first playthrough and never went there ever again
Feel like the main boss there was the hardest in the game. I still don't know how I beat her without being able to dodge/survive her combo attack even once

You hear the poise break noise and they stop moving for a second and you move in closer to give a crit but it’s a fake and they scoop you in their mouth and fly you into the air and slam you back down to the ground
