My addiction for this game is getting bad

Anyone ITT beat Malenia without using a spirit ash?

Just tried for 2 hours and couldn't even beat her first phase

Damn everyone playing this game. I know I’ll cave in and be horrible and give up on the first boss.

Respect her. Give her distance otherwise she will punish you with her oneshot combo. Only strike when she does frontal stabs cause that gives you a clear window (or be greedy) but always keep quite a bit of distance

Took me 5 hours

After the 4th hour I resorted to abusing the f*** out of Moonveil during the last phase because finding an opening in that phase is actually tough

Malenia fr baits you into fighting close only to oneshot you with her combo

Also, the combo she does can be baited pretty easily. She usually does it after you deal 30-40% damage to her. So once you are near that value you can run away from her, throw like a knife at her or something and she will do the attack so you can outrange the first one and dodge into her for the 2nd one, the 3rd one is a bait and doesn’t require any dodging.

Her AI doesn’t always do the combo straightaway but once you are near that threshold its better to keep your distance until she does the attack or you will be caught by surprise and won’t have enough time to get away from her

You can go up to 160-170 at max and still be fine with PVP

Dodging Malenias slicing combo once you figure out how to do it is literally the most satisfying thing in the entire game
She doesn’t hit me with that s*** at all anymore

I wish they would have added an ash of war on some of the weapons that would let you deflect like Sekiro, would have been so badass

Had a few times where I transitioned her to 2nd phase under 1 minute and without being hit once, I love that s*** man

Haven’t played in a minute. Got 2 days off work in a row coming up tho, thinking it’s time to hit up Caelid before I enter the Capital

That’s how everyones first time with a Souls game goes, I died maybe 20-30 times on the very first level of DS1 before making it to the first boss, and when I finally got there he instantly flung me off the bridge

So many ways to play bro. You don’t have to make it a frustrating experience if you don’t want

If you just run a mage build and summon help you should be able to clear the game without too much trouble

Feel like anyone who loves games should experience this open world tho. It’s peak open world

Bro they have multi-player for that reason. No shame in it. It doesn't have to be a mind breaking experience

But just run away from the tree sentinel

It's been amazing only regret I have is overleveling to where I can't help anyone.
