Found Lansseaux finally, sucks im way over level now tho
First try but didnt feel good wish i found him way earlier smh
I think mountaintops is underrated @Kenig
Guardians Garrison. the dragon fog boss, the hypergoal, the few dungeons n ruins n especially Castle Sol is dope
Its smaller n feels disconnected from the other areas but i think its kinda cool how it rides the line of open area n crafted level
Seeing the trolls fight the caelid beasts are cool too plus walking the chains n skinny cliff bridge thing
Yeah the area isnt that sizeable in terms of content however the atmosphere is incredible. The walk over that long coffin bridge, first time leaving the elevator, the Melena cutscene.
also looks so pretty
Saw they patched a lot of stuff and nerfed some weapons, does the boulder farm trick still work?
I just started playing the game and the dog statue is freaking me out.
Don’t waste your time with boulder farm there are better methods later on for farming runes

yeah visually it was one of the coolest parts
i see a lot of people complaining about the difficulty there but i dont see it. castle sol wasnt anything crazy and neither was the fire giant. i think a lot of newer players are trying to tank hits or some s*** instead of dodging.

So good, the tower too
Im in the snowfield now, was so dope what you go thru after the elevator to get there

No one levels up vigor apparently then wonders why theyre dying lol
Area wasnt hard imo but it might be one of my favs
Only enemy I got two shot by was the Fire Giant boss n i didnt with anything else, one or two shot
Castle Sol was great too & Sol Niall was an awesome n legit challenging fight
So good, the tower too

I loved how they had like content ideas, those maigician towers, the small Erdtrees, the Underground Dungeons, Hero‘s Graves etc.
But they always made sure to suprise you. Every dungeon had this sort of twist to the concept.
Only a few times like with the wyverns or when you have to search turtles you really do the exact same again.
Even in the Snowfield the dungeons were the best part looking absolutely stunning
And like thats good game desing and apperantly only the Japanese have figured this s*** out. Nintendo also does the same. It teaches you the basic concept and then expands on it and tries to twist it.

Yup i agree, its a content structure but they keep it varied n its multiple things then just "bandit camps n towers", n evey main open area of the world will still have its own unique things on top of the structured stuff. Everything will always have at least one really interesting piece of loot too wether its a weapon, spell, armor or rare consumable.
Really cool, n the hidden walls of the open world is always fun to come across theyre always unexpected for me in the open world.
This game has grown on me a lot. I feel stronger, wiser, smoother. I’ve learned what certain things do and how certain things work. Enemies that used to slap me are now running from me. Was risky for me to buy this game at full price when I’m completely new to Souls-type games and initially I didn’t really find it THAT enticing but still kept trying and learning. Things are clicking now and it feels really good.
Im glad youre liking it Chilla i cant believe you got into Monster Hunter last year for the first time n now the same with Souls games this year
Two notoriously so called "obtuse, unfriendly to new players & extremely hard" series, but its always great when people finally give them a chance & it clicks!
They aint that tough to get into when u give it some time
am i being stubborn for refusing to summon the npc for godrick?
keeping in mind i have gotten my ass kicked by him at least 20 times

If you don’t want to do that then that’s how you want to play tbh.
If you dying to him 20 times in a row I’d suggest taking a break and exploring limgrave and leveling up more. Getting better weapons . Easier to get a +5 dex weapon with bleed and murk his ass.
The game gives you complete freedom on how you want to play and challenge yourself. I’m pretty much use everything at my disposal though. Greasing / pots / arrows/ summons/ etc

the last time i used summons was BB (my first From game) and tbh a lot of the time it felt like i was getting the computer to beat it for me
i havent used summons in DeS and DS3 and i found it much more satisfying
but damn i am struggling hard against Godrick. idk what im doing so badly either, im level 40 and ive got a +3 claymore lol
When Malenia jumps in the air and goes crazy with her sword
Wipes me out everytime. Can’t dodge and if I try to block she wipes me out

Use spirits at least
Spending 45 mins in one boss just to finally kill them, then a cutscene plays for 2nd phase

I’m leveling up and coming back lol

Yeah the claymore is too slow. imo I wouldn’t rock with regular great swords compared to unique ones. I’d switch to a straight sword or a spear at least you’ll be able to get more hits in.
Honestly there’s nothing wrong with npc summons or ash summons the pretty much die quick due to their ai behavior

damn really? i wanna use the winged scythe but my faith isnt high enough
ive wasted so many smithing stones on this sword
wow the lead up to Godfrey and that second phase was just too f***ing epic, two of the best cutscenes in the game right there. currently fighting the final boss, low key a lil disappointing but the first phase is cool at least
PVP seems like hell, glad I don’t partake.
