No sense of direction (none of them tell you where to go)
Able to go into late game areas relativity early when youre not ready (always been a thing)
Enemies "one shotting" you even mobs (always been a thing in most new areas you go)
Etc.
These are common complaints that so called "vets" that critique Elden Ring say. If youre a new player I dont mind n its understandable, but YOU claiming YOURE a vet then complain about s*** that is present since literally Demon's Souls makes you lose all credibility and seems like youre trying to command more authority by larping as a vet.
But the stuff youre saying idk what you mean, i dont get one to two shot at all by basic enemies in the right areas youre suppose to be in. Just like how in Mountaintops rn its taking 5 to 6 to kill me for most, minus the bigger enemies because of course, theyre bigger enemies. My build was also planned out tho.
A lot of people that complain about boss fights as well make it CLEAR they refuse to use spirits in any form. Thats literally your fault, its a main mechanic of Elden Ring and most the bosses are built around them in the second half of the game. Just like in Sekiro, you can get thru the fist half without parrying or countering, but the second half its basically mandatory if you want to break their posture. Remember everyone hating the Lightning guy half way through the game?
It's a mix of new players trying to get accustomed (which again, its understandable im not mad at that), old players mad its not literal Dark Soul 4 & general players upset they have to get used to a brand new system yet again such as Sekrio and Bloodborne.
This game your health is important, this game spirts are important, this game all the systems are important, this game armor is more important than any of the others.
There is so much at your disposable to use, i have no idea how people that claim to be vets are endlessly struggling. The whole point of these games is to experiment n try s*** until it works, not smash your head over n over with the same tactic. And this game has more tools than ever to get you over s*** to the point they literally have broken af options on purpose.
It's not that crazy to me. Yeah, of course its challenging lol n part of the whole point why i play these games, but it's not obscenely difficult n for the most part, part of their regular M.O.
Level cap is also totally different in this game than the others. 25 n 50 was soft n hard in the others, in ELDEN RING its SIXTY n EIGHTY. What is high level in the other games, is not high level in this. Because of the scope of it all, and if you explore most stuff, you will have enough levels n upgrade material.
I don't get it, but eveyones experience is different game to game, but at least try to play it "right" n use s*** to your advantage & stop having an ego or pretending its literally Dark Souls 4 (generally speaking).
This game is middle tier in terms of their difficulty to me.
I’ve been using literally everything the game has thrown at me to my advantage the entire game i’m not strictly trying to make the game harder, if I’m struggling with a boss yeah i’ll use a summon. The game was 100% fine balance wise until I reached the three areas I’ve mentioned and it was VERY apparent to me. I don’t know how the f*** you’re taking 6 hits before death, that definitely was not the case for me even with high ass HP and defense but i’m for sure glad you’re having a better experience as far as late game goes because what I experienced definitely rubbed me the wrong way and brought me back to ds2 level of bullshit days. Like you said though everyones experience is different but from what i’ve seen a lot of people are dealing with the same bs regardless of what they use to their advantage or their build
I still wouldnt use them. Those small stat upgrades for endgame level? Just take the damage negotiation and put on others I say. :shr
I probably would have swapped one of those out but....
... for some reason the talisman that was beneficial for my build ended up being one of the few missable talismans in the game and now I have to do NG+ to get it
Sorrow FM gotta be so f***ing ass at this game to keep complaining about mob enemies killing his ass

Claw Talisman
Claw Talisman
That one is pretty good but im talking about Magic Scorpion Charm - it increases magic damage by 12% which is just silly. I currently have to use 2 talismans just to increase my magic damage to 12% lol
I feel like a lot of people missed this one actually
Claw Talisman
busted talisman tbh. spent 75% of the game just jumping at every boss.
also had some chest piece that raised jumping attack damage

I’m not at all but okay bud. Idk how many times I have to say i’m not the only f***ing one saying any of the s*** I’ve said
If you actually read the goddamn posts i’m not JUST complaining about mobs, certain bosses and the almost punishing feeling you get from late game exploration fit in this mf too
Why tf the boss keeps running from me
p****

Also im not one of those legitimate "get good" people either lol even tho im probably in the top end of players.
I genuinely try helping n DO help people in game & online like this thread, im constantly talking to people trying to help them out or point them where to go because I know it can be challenging and on top of that theres a lot of brand new players to FS with this title. So dont pin me in with "that camp" neither.
But don't make up criticisms as if ER is the only one that does it, even tho most complaints they say been present since literally Demon's Souls on PS3 in 2009 (now if you hate the "tropes" of the series n its M.O. in general thats a different story and the series is probably not for you, but dont pretend Elden Ring is the first lol).
I am not against criticisms or people venting, but dont make s*** up n ESPECIALLY dont pretend "youre a vet", or else you wont gain any sympathy, respect or reasonable discussion from most the community.
Numbers!

Boss saw how you were dodging Laserbeams and earthquakes by rolling on the ground and dipped

mainly str/int. had to use the dark moon greatsword/mlgs.
started off using the lordsworn's greatsword next to that grace where you first get torrent. tossed a magic ash of war on it for magic scaling around the rennala fight. decided i wanted to use the guts greatsword, so i respec'd into full str and used that up until i got the dark moon greatsword. then i used that until the malenia fight because that river of blood katana made that fight infinitely easier
steamrolled the rest of the game just using random armor along with river of blood.
i think i used the standard prisoner armor up until i got that witch hat & cloak, and swapped when i stumbled across the "increased jump damage" armor.
but yeah, for the majority of the game, i used the dark moon greatsword. moonveil was looking really appealing, but i couldn't pass up the mlgs.
Dont even think the extra HP will do that much. Its 10% more damage taken
It barely an increase in damage I tested it out on the alien mercury slime things that do pierce damage in noseka.
Def WORTH IT
I was running around with 2 of those talismans so I took 20% more damage tbh. The HP boost kinda negates it
Its not just the hp boost
Its the added benefits of increasing dex, str n stam such as natural resistances etc.
It barely an increase in damage I tested it out on the alien mercury slime things that do pierce damage in noseka.

yea, i'm pretty sure it's negligible. def worth it.

Whatever bro you kinda talking out your ass at this point
ain’t nobody making s*** up, I swear to god I NEVER had the feeling of something being unbalanced late game wise much as I do here in any of FromSofts games. As long as you level up properly you’re usually good, but from what plenty of people have mentioned here it’s just not the case. You can act all high and mighty all you want, the game has a weird difficulty spike after Plateu.
I’m done discussing it in here tho cause y’all getting mad defensive over a small critque
