What is up with all the garbage second phase bosses in this game. I get one-shot by the draconic tree sentinel when he shoots the Lazer in the air and I have to play through 5 minutes of his piss easy first phase to practice against it. It's not f***ing fun to add filler garbage at the beginning of fights so it feels dramatic when they get hard. Like running around in circles poking rennla babies when she could've just stolen a couple flasks from me and skip to 2nd phase to make the fight more interesting.

Phase fights have always been a thing in fromsoft games but they seemed to make the ones in ER so monotonous at the beginning. Not one f***ing challenging phase 1 from a single boss in this game.

I don't have any problem with second phase bosses and it adds more to the fight than just fighting a static boss that does the same moveset from 100 to 0.
I agree with you on the Renalla fight though that s*** was garbage and the run back to her was annoying asf too.

As for draconic tree sentinel I actually don't remember that fight having a second phase or even lasting longer than 2 minutes, as for as I remember it was just re-skinned tree sentinel but the horse shoots fire.

The only fights that are garbage other than Renalla are the 2 vs 1 boss fights

Nah he gets this red lightning that he shoots into the sky that hits you. 2v1 suck ass too but I enjoy them more honestly but maybe it's because I love them in other games like the lothric brothers

So I have the medallions to activate the grand lift. But how do I activate it? When I go to it can’t find a switch or anything.

Secondly in the process of finding the medallions I explored a lot I accepted Ranni’s quest, explored more and found the Siofra River Well, and found Blaidd down there, told me to go ask Selvuis for advice. I’m with him now. All videos I’ve seen tell me to use a guide for this quest I’m bout to do.

So I looked a couple things up, (mostly weapons n armors) and there is a place I know about called Valcono Manor. I know ultimately it’s my choice one what to do and where to go, but “canonically” which order should I do this stuff in?

There really isnt a cannon order, you just do all these things at the same time and leave to do something else when you getting your ass whopped, like when I first got to Atlus Plataue first thing I did was talk to an npc and it straight up teleported me to Volcano Manor, I did some of the s*** there then left it and continued with Atlus Plataue, didn't end up finishing Volcano Manor till a lot later

If thats one shotting you youre underleveled, little vigor or trash armor & gonna have a really bad time pass it

Idk why the first phase is taking you that long either, and yes you can dodge and even block it

there is no order for those, they have nothing to do with one another
