Im relly bad at parrying in any game but im an amazing dodger, and parrying thats the only real way in regular new game to break the 2nd half of the bosses posture in Sekiro, other wise i could mostly get away with axe hits n damaging before then
But yeah my other statement is just a generalization n more towards people that dont play a lot of these.
How DS3 ur least fav tho that s*** is amazing n imo s***s on 1 n 2 all the way , i played all three (was first time playing 2 as well) back to back last year in prep for elden ring n 3 imo is def a goat
I came away realzing 2 is underrated (still the worst tho), 1 is overrated n 3 is damn near "perfect" of that formula.
I feel like a lot of people (and this isn’t a criticism just a fact) played the games out of order or, like you, played them back to back recently for the first time and I think that’s gonna favor DS3 as the most recent game.
I played them in order as they released. DS1 was an instant masterpiece, just gave that sensation of a grand adventure you had to figure out like old Zelda or Metroid prime games, which I fr hadn’t experienced since a kid. The game definitely fell off after Anor Londo but the combat being so groundbreaking in 2012 and the intricacy and secrets of the map it’s GOATED.
BUT then DS2 came out and myself and a lot of other people thought it was basically a major improvement in every way except map design, but they had a different philosophy with the map design anyways and it gave them more flexibility building a ton of varied environments which made the game feel like even more of an adventure by going through so many different locations. It was also semi-open world, you had a couple different ways you could go to start, and an insane amount of weapons and builds that were viable and made PvP stupid lit. SOFTS is worse than the OG though which is a shame.
DS3 felt like it took a step back in a lot of ways compared to DS2, like no powerstance, and just felt like they were retreading a lot of ground without doing anything new. So to me it’s not bad but it’s my least favorite.
But we back with Elden ring GOATED
I’ve been save scumming to try to out builds, what should I go for next? This is definitely the most indecisive I’ve ever been on how I want to play a FromSoft game lol. I feel like there’s just so many options and so many great weapons

I still haven't played BOTW sadly so i'm looking forward to playing it after this since I hear so many comparisons
Play it for sure, that new one’s supposed to come out this year and from the small snippet they gave us it’s gonna be a treat

Damn, I already have it on Switch, just haven't played it yet, i'm guessing it plays better when emulated?

definitely plays well on switch (somehow), but hey, since you have a good PC, might as well take advantage of it

wondering why I got a switch now, bought SMTV and BOTW and haven't even played them on the switch
Only game I actually played on it was The House in Fata Morgana
Yes and gundam suits
I remember someone itt before launch saying that there was gonna be a twist halfway thru and this was gonna become a sci-fi game
can't remember who it was though

earlier on in the lifespan, it was nice to have the console, but now emulating has gotten pretty insane. friend of mine is playing triangle strategy with yuzu and that just came out this past week.
i really couldn't care less about the portability of the switch for playing games, so if i'm able to play games at 4k60, you best believe i'm gonna do exactly that lol.
you best be getting to Requiem for Innocence & Reincarnation soon if you haven't already
