I was gonna but got too lazy to keep typing lol
I think Skyrims success reminded Nintendo what they should be doing with Zelda and so they brought it full circle
yeah definitely
Cant wait to speak to every npc 5 times each meter i walk to not miss any kind of lore bits and dialogue in true souls fashion
Cant wait to miss some storylines cause the npcs sit around in the smallest corner of the map
Something about this game feels off
What feels off? Delay incoming? Overhype flop cyberpunk 2.0 moment incoming? What are u feeling

Nah none of those, i’m sure it’ll be a great game, i think fromsoft wouldn’t be able to make a garbage game even on purpose. My problem with the trailer is how barren everything looks. Other than the castle, there’s really no other cool structures shown, no houses, no cities, nothing cool you can stumble upon while exploring in the wild. The reason why Botw is so good is that there’s things to discover around every corner, you can’t have an open world game where there’s nothing there except for enemies and the occasional dungeon/castle. Npcs, small towns, interesting side quests, i hope the game has stuff like that. I also think the level design might take a hit since they specialize in that but it’s hard to do that in an open world game. Also some of the art design is a step down from Sekiro/DS/Bloodborne.

None of the art design is a step down that’s huge cap
As far as the rest of the open world concept goes, we literally haven’t seen anything besides what they want us to see. You think if they have stuff like that out in the open world they’re just going to spoil it in the first trailer for the game? The ones that were shown the actual gameplay footage said there were ruins and outposts and things like that, not full on cities and villages like Skyrim(which makes sense) but basically the same thing BOTW has, do your research before typing a huge paragraph of lies

Most definitely a step down from the other games from what i’ve seen, obviously can’t speak on the things i haven’t seen.
Also there’s no lies in that paragraph, that’s exactly how i feel. We’ve seen shots of the landscape, one in particular where they show a big chunk of land and there wasn’t much there

They did say they looked into skyrim to see how to approach an open world game so i can def see this happening
Cant wait to miss some storylines cause the npcs sit around in the smallest corner of the map
Hoping i dont miss 90% of the storylines like in dark souls 3, i recently found out there were even some npc i had never seen in my first 2 runs, i hate when miyazaki makes them excessively crypric and impossibile to finish without a guide, like he hid yoel yuria and all their fantastic quest behind a super contrived progression lol i had to follow 2 guides to finish it
only people I heard saying this will be a cyberpunk are people who never touched a from software game.
And honestly no idea why Elden Ring has so much hype. Like I got exclusively COD playstation players looking forward to it. What happened? These people never played a From Software title and are hyped about Elden Ring

I know what you're saying about towns but I can't imagine actual civilisation in a FromSoft game that isn't actively trying to kill you
I know this gonna be an open world game but I kinda hope it doesn't play out like an open world game at all if that makes sense.
I think the game will actually stand out if it doesn't have any of those things you mentioned, except side quests maybe but I kinda hope side quests play out like other FromSoft games where an NPC just says some very vauge s*** and you don't even get any indication at all that you even started a side quest or where to even go.

definitely need those side quests to be just like that lmfao
Hope this has trailing missions
Real s***, and make them like the trailing missions in judgment 😈

Yeah i get that but at the same time i don’t think that kind of minimalism can work in an open world game

Can’t agree with the BOTW comment. While there is nice little spots to find and they guide your eye pretty well there’s also just large swathes of empty land in that game too.
I remember finding a large buried looking castle in the ground and walking around the area to find literally nothing
No enemies no drops nada
