by being used to have everything spelled out to you explicitly of course also by probably making s*** up
Skimmed thru it n a lot of it just sounds like usual fromsoft things lol.
Bosses turning into normal enemies.
Always been a thing in FS games towards later areas to show you theyre actually just a species n to show growth in you.
Capra demon, crystal witch of ds3, watchdog in bb dungeons etc.
reused bosses
Again, always been a thing to a degree. Asylum demons ds1, witches bb etc.
I didn’t miss the tutorial, but I played the game for about 20+ hours before realizing there was a church with a shop about 100 yards in front of The First Step. Spent the longest time having no idea how to do crafting or use ashes.
How the hell do you miss that
By being an idiot that doesnt explore or talk to anyone
Just like how people say this game supposedly has no direction but the game clearly tells you where to go with graces and ESPECIALLY the old book dude
S*** is ridiculous how they act like any of this is new in FS as well
But we went thru the same s*** with Bloodborne n Sekiro
Also most people that complain about difficulty are also the ones that abstain from spirits.
Parrying was essential in sekrio (which is why its the hardest for me, but i dont complain about it its just the games rules), dodging was essential in bloodborne & spirits is basically essential in elden ring.
Its not dark souls 4, get over it.
I never even found this guy. Him and one of the dragons are the only boss achievements I'm missing.
Hes in Shaded Castle in Atlus Plateau.
Theres a key item here too but idk if its required late game its the prosthetic arm of Valkyrie woman.
Its dope, gonna try my 2nd try in a bit after i eat.

To be fair bosses have NEVER been reskinned in any FromSoft game as much as they have here. I know it’s a huge game but still, no reason to reskin multiple bosses 4-5 times it’s just lazy

I feel like people not used to the newer systems they think its just ds3 again. Just today I "found out" that I can just add my +9 Blasphemous Blade to my currently used +10 Sacred Relic Sword instead of constantly running the seal in my left hand. I am now dual weilding for 2000 damage per hit and absolutely destroy everything

I have some unfinished business with this man
hes catching these hands first thing tonight
Just beat Godrick last night. Feel like I've barely scratched the surface and it keeps getting better.
Definitely one of the greatest game ever made.

whatcha mean
add them?

Forgot to mention that Shaded Catstle is the poison swamp fortress looking area in Atlus Plateau on the mal.
If you head left outside the imp key dungeon that has a bunch of giants in front you'll get there.
Its a skinny path. Took me a bit to find it.

dual weild them and use L1 goes crazy
i just got the blasphemous blade last night, immediately took that s*** to +10 lmao. That’s coming with me to the very end for sure
roughly how far in do you think I am? limgrave, liurnia, caelid, volcano manor, 50% of plateau finished

How tf did you +10 it?
its an incredible powerful weapon especially because you get health for every enemy dying around you. Literally top tier.
Now imo since you were strong enough to finish caelid and volcano manor the capital wont be a big problem. However the capital is huge plus there are still 2-3 however you wanna see it big areas after that. So I would say that puts you at like 60-70%

Theres so much options in this game lmfao its actually the most difficulty friendly out of all them imo. Just like how i figured out Guard Counter today too.
Lot of people ignore the crafting items too & theres some straight up broken s*** n in general just normal helpful s*** in there such as Exalted Meat n Cotton Steps.
Im not against criticism of Elden Ring, (even tho my only main issue so far is just little quality of life stuff here n there personally), but i hate this "discourse" that gets made up every time FS makes a game that is like Dark Souls but ISNT Dark souls.
Just like how most souls vets from way back find bb extremely hard because dogging is mandatory when it wasnt in ds1 n 2, but i think personally bb is actually one of the easier ones even tho it was my first.
Hate how people act like s*** is new or different from the old like the "reused" boss thing or the "obtuse-ness". It isnt new, and for people that claim to play a lot of the series like that reddit post claims, it comes off very suspect. If its your first one thats different, but you claiming to know the series when you complain about basic s*** in the series is SUS AF.

Easily the hardest boss so far, I only warped there because of the medal that white face guy gives u during his quest so not sure if there’s another route to reach it later on
The fact that this is now FromSofts SIXTH rpg character leveling game and they once again made respecing limited is so f***ing obnoxious

Disagree
Theres literally 3 Asylum Demon bosses in DS1, Capra n Taurus become regular enemies in DS1 as well.
Asylum gets reused as a reg enemy in DS3.
The crystal witches of DS3 become regs too.
The giants of DS2 are reused as bosses and reg enemies.
The hag witches of BB.
Etc.
Even the Monkey Great Apes of Sekiro are used like 4 times.
Theres still a huge variety, and if they are reused they 9 times out of ten have something very noticeably different about them. Wether its new phases, attacks, additions etc. Which is more than most of the old games. It goes way beyond a recolor or reskin.
Its a bull criticism imo, especially since there is so much variety anyways. More than any other open world game i ever played, and i dont know why people act like its different for elden ring. Even something like The Witcher 3 only has a lil above a dozen monsters total, or Dragons dogma, huge praised n "hardcore" games.
ER goes above n beyond them in terms of variety, n they still spice it up when the reused creature does pop up here n there, n most are optional.

He is one of the 2 optional endgame Demigods, the other one is Malenia which is arguably the hardest boss in the game
