So this is definitely the spiritual successor to dark souls.

Miyazaki is giving you tons of options , tons of freedom and routes to take. This game will basically encourage New game plus even more now because I don’t you would barely scratch the surface of discoveries if you play it straight up blind on your first go.

And I feel like miyazaki balanced out that freedom with tougher enemies. We’re getting who knows how many different enemy types. Bosses might have more than 1-3 phases, with sekiro level intelligence.

This game really gonna be amazing

I really hope a lot of what they did w Sekiro sticks into this game. The faster, tighter gameplay was so fun. That combined with dark souls exploration and rpg elements would be awesome. I just beat sekiro a couple days ago and now I'm trying to get into dark souls 3, I'm kinda enjoying it but it's just so slow fighting enemies. Hopefully it grows on me more, I'm only in the section past the wall (right after you raise the banner).

I agree, it’s a bit hard to go back to the soulsborne games after playing Sekiro but at the same time, i feel like Sekiro was only possible because it wasn’t a souls game, because it deviated from the souls formula.

Don’t agree dark souls 3 is already almost too fast for a souls game it’s basically Bloodborne souls and not like 1 2 and Demon’s souls at all

Miyazaki's last 3 games have been fast paced so I wouldn't expect any different with this one. Gameplay in the trailer looked like DS3 but I'm sure there's some Sekiro influence in there. I want some fun parry s*** again.

Vaati mentioned he was surprised with how many elements they've kept and expanded upon from Sekiro. Seems like it'll be DS3 x Sekiro the most in terms of gameplay which sounds awesome.

Yea I honestly love DS1’s slower paced combat but I don’t think it would work well in an open world. I’ve played very little of DS3 but something like that would be ideal
