Have you tried summoning spirit ashes
I'm a masochist so I won't let myself use them in boss fights
ancient hero of zamor is dope
edit: the item you get from him is fire too :hhh:
Update i beat that b**** ass knight in the dark room
Then i went upstairs and got my ass kicked by the other knight
Idk what level i gotta be to clear out this castle smh
There are points in Bloodborne and Sekiro (Genichiro) where after defeating a boss the game mechanics kinda click and you get good.
But this game keeps you on your toes every single encounter....
It's always a mix of block, roll, guard counter, jump attack, R2, pathetic attempt at staggering, R1 mashing....
Don't feel like i'm getting good at all.
Thank god for magic and summoning tho.

It feels like DS3 with jump attacks, and the enemies are like 10x more aggressive
Sekiro and Bloodborne are definitely the pinnacle as far as combat goes in these games
this nigga is eating my f***ing lunch
im at least 15 attempts deep at this point, i hate him so much lmao
Idk what build you're running, but the dragon rot breath incantation claps his cheeks. He's weak Scarlet rot and something else I forget

One of the only bosses i havent beaten in all of Limgrave and Weeping P. idk why that one is so hard for me haven’t tried many times though gave it like 2 tries and i thought he wasn’t very fun to fight
I feel like more than ever these shortcuts get passed me like I often see a door saying it does not open from this side and never open that door again lmao

The clicking part of this game is dodging using jump
I was way more excited for horizon than this but now i dont even give a s*** about that trash
Stop capping bro. I sliced through Radahn but don’t lie and say he wasn’t hard lmao
I beat him on my 4th try
Rennala was easily the coolest boss fight I’ve ever done but holy s*** was that a b**** to do
The chaos when she starts summoning all that BS

Summoning spirits is kinda essential. The bosses are so aggressive (at least as much or more than Sekiro or Bloodborne bosses) with such wild move sets. And they hit way harder than dark souls bosses. Have to learn how to dodge perfectly or get spanked hard.
You still need skills to beat any From game, theres many more things that can be abused next to magic if you know how to do it.. but most general players wouldn’t so it’s not like magic makes it easier by default
This is my first time using magic and some parts are easier but others are def harder. Like when you have agressive enemies for example
After playing for a couple of days I agree. The enemy AI has been overhauled to be wayyy more aggressive. In the old souls games you can spam spells and the bosses kinda just sit there . But in elden ring sitting far away causes the smarter bosses to close the gap so fast it’s hard to pull off two casts at once without getting hit. Basically you’re still forced to doge and time attacks like a melee character this time around.
I still need to add that jump attack in my Arsenal more
Bro the jump R2 is my go to attack honestly it almost always staggers every enemy. Using Nightrider Flail.
I was able to beat a lot of high level enemies that I had no business beating yet just using that move.
Choosing Confessor was a mistake.
You’re wrong. Once you farm enough spells you become a god.
All faith and spell builds are brutal in the beginning then as you slowly spec your character it becomes normal to laughably easy once they are fully specced
