i played a bit of dark soul 2 and kinda got bored, felt a bit one dimensional too me, not to say i dont like grinding a boss fight. do you think this one is good enough to bring someone who isnt into the souls games. cos i am considering

“Open world” could describe like 30-40% of all games because linear and open world are essentially the binary created by the term itself

that’s such a huge amount of games you’re missing out on, I hope one day you find an open world game that gets you into them because they’re amazing

I played some of DS3 and it was so boring to me. I actually fell asleep playing it back then it was so bad.

This is a lot more fun to me though, if you enjoy the grind with the boss fights then I think this is better than the souls game. They're so linear and there's no openness to them. ER a lot more accessible imo, you can go where you want and fight who you want. Plus it being open world gives you the ability to do a lot of leveling before getting to the boss fight if they're too hard.

I get what you’re saying and that’s a big reason why I thought the games were fine as is. Adding more open space does not seem appealing to me.

I have played plenty of open world games but as I get older they get less and less interesting and exciting for me as I just do not have 100 hrs of time to dump into any of these titles to get the most out of them anymore

I like playing offline. That notes are fun but it’s way more immersive without it all
