What class did you pick? I did prisoner and just spammed the starting spell and used two flasks to restore my FP. That got him down to ~50% health and then it was just about baiting out his charge move. If you stand pretty far back while he charges you can roll back to doge at the last second and he'll end up right in front of you while he recovers and you can easily get a 3 hit combo in. Just keep baiting out that one move and you should be good.
