The story literally does not f***ing matter when you're dealing with the difficulty of these games lol.

The lore is pretty vague and open ended for you to just role play online as well.

I remember being obsessed about learning about DS1 lore lmao.

I remember beating ds1 because an invader went afk in my game and I ganked his ass.

Mind you, the dude was an overpowered archer who took down 80% of my health with 3 arrow shots when he got back online

I still killed him and gained 100k souls, and upgraded my build and went through the rest of the game on a "heroic" level of difficulty vs the insane difficulty I was feeling beforehand.

I gave up on ds2 when I was watching a walkthrough and realized the dweeb ass developers actually update the game and block certain pathways to make the game difficult

Somehow the preorder version on amazon is cheaper than digital on steam. Guess Ill get that then
