This really is like that episode of Atlanta
i was just thinking earlier im really riding around the city feeling like paper boi
idk if this is a hot take but i feel like earl doesnt really have chemistry with vince or tyler that much despite ppl always wishing for it online
his sound suits navy/mike/mavi/billy/mach so much more these days
have u heard the estate sale
Navy and Earl have crazy chemistry
the only modern double album (navy prod earl raps and vice versa) that id be legit excited for. actually think this might happen as they get older
This is dumb as f***
What do you mean by that? Like him deciding to do that or me saying this?
I don't fully get the distinction. He sounds very much with the beat to me on SRS. They're just more abstract.
May be misunderstanding what you mean though.
If you listen to his flows on EARL, Doris and IDLS (to a lesser extent) his flows are completely different to his SRS work and after
Has the release style cut the knees of the hype/convo around this album? It’s short and obviously these aren’t the biggest rappers/producers in the world but I’m surprised how little people are talking about this now. Really hope the streaming release makes this album the moment it deserves to be (and hopefully Earl actually acknowledges the fact it exists by then……)

Doubt many people know it exists

It's been very quiet for this album

The hardcore Earl fans have very weird and often terrible opinions when it comes to who Earl sounds good with and who they want him to collab with
Like I remember a bunch of people saying Earl should’ve been on Scaring The Hoes, like wtf?
I'm really interested in whatever happened between IDLSIDGO dropping and that Christmas 2015 show at the Observatory where he performed E. coli, Curse, Shrooms, Death Whistles and 3/5 for the first time
whole style changed entirely and his raps became noticeably complex
Ngl My Brother, The Wind and Mac Deuce the only real stand outs on this for me. Have been listening to repeat for 3 hours now, but it's not doing much.
it feels just so stagnant for being an earl album
Cannot wait for this album to tour. Please come to the south
There won’t be a tour for this
MIKE feature on Sentry is such dog s***. Idk how people like his sloppy apathetic flow. Song would have been dope without him.
I don’t think it’s a horrible verse but I was disappointed in hearing him use the same exact flow he’s been using for years tbh.
The only thing that saved his verse is that lyrically he has a pretty decent pen so at least his wordplay and lyricism made up for the repetitive ass flow he used lol. I usually skip that verse lol

I mean most normal people probably saw “streaming a month early through NFT site” and tapped out until it’s on regular streaming. A lot of people who defended this bs didn’t consider how much it’d dampen the impact. I think it’ll get its due when it’s streaming with proper promo from Earl & Al though cus the quality speaks for itself. Atleast it’s not like blackstar 2
