Dropped a single, releasing the album on Fat Possum, they’re doing a whole gimmick with the phone number thing, they’ve got posters & flyers up in pretty much every major US city. They even finally made an official twitter account after all these years to begin the album’s rollout lol

Both have been rolled out inventively and cryptically. It's been very clear since pretty much the second day the 'hahaha' appeared, that this is an Earlchemist album and it's imminent. But yeah you have to be relatively clued in, same as you did with theirs. Relatively casual music fan would never have known there was a new album imminent. Eventually got officially announced sure but random flyers of 'We Buy Diabetic Test Strips' and a phone number that plays noisy garblings is pretty unusual.

This is gonna get a press release too I'm guessing.
