instantly thought of Eclipse when I heard God Laughs
I thought I was the only one who saw the similarities to eclipse. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s one of the ones on the album he made “more for him than for us”, just like he said was the case with Eclipse.
Y’all not gonna like this but for me the middle of his career was my favorite. I’ve argued before that he basically created “sludge rap”, like the hip-hop equivalent of what sludge metal is to that genre. This bleak dark grimy atmosphere slowly chugging along that feels almost oppressive but it also has these bursts of aggression that hypes you up even if only momentarily. He experimented with it on parts of Doris and mastered it with the next record.
I’ve been listening to him since the very beginning of his career, so I also have a soft spot for the rough around the edges amateur stuff. It’s juvenile for sure but there’s this fun anything goes internet punk quality to it that’s rarely ever been recaptured in the genre. Seriously don’t get me wrong, SRS is good, but I just don’t connect with it fully. I always feel like something is missing when I listen to it.
1. IDLSIDGO

4. Feet Of Clay

Bad opinion
People need to stop calling feet of clay an EP. He’s always referred to it as an album and even on his website it’s labelled an album.

The deluxe definitely makes it feel more like an album.
Lobby is the one damn
“Niggas stay with the plan, we anchored in”
“I’m coming home, beloved we slid”
The “I did this for you G” on tabula rasa and him pointing directly at the camera in the video makes so much more sense after hearing the album and reading the interviews he’s done. Sick is him meeting us halfway and giving us something more listenable. Now I wonder if the next one is gonna be a return to the SRS/FOC trajectory or he’s gonna lean more into a more commercial sound like that drill snippet we heard
EDIT: I hope it’s the latter
Hope its the former

I'm pretty sure he called it an EP?
It’s the pinnacle of titillating crisp spit
Fist clinched emulating '68 Olympics

He never called it an EP. In the interview with his mom he said “I just dropped a brand new album called feet of clay”
Can someone collect all the unreleased live songs, and put them in a zipped file
If you think zelooperz isnt snapping on his verse listen harder. Smoke some kush or something beforehand
