I'm right there with you. His sound has been pretty stagnant for a years now. Unfortunately, it seems like it's another retread of the last few albums.

It's not entirely a retread. There's definetly a stylistic change in both writing and structure on some of the songs

Loving this off of first listen. Similarly scant as his last few but it somehow does feel like he dug deeper, like it’s more elaborate and like more thought/effort went into it.

I’m a voir dire enjoyer and big Alch fan but it’s crazy how much below their skill levels they were operating on that album. Alch more than Earl but still. The VD beats and overall album was getting lapped on this new album before it had even hit the midpoint
