Ye is an ideal target for Drake because they have an actual history and a relationship before they fell out
Drake was a Pusha T or at the very least a Clipse fan coming up and probably would have worked on some stuff with him if not for the Young Money connection, there's not really much reason for him and Pusha T to have a problem as individuals. so when you get thrown into something like this I could imagine Drake being a bit surprised and feeling like Ye was the person who put him up to this.
