i have come to like children more it just seems so much more like a family drama instead of an epic story i guess

it’s cool though i really like the stuff with leto/paul

i really dislike turning AI into skynet and other cheesy scifi storytelling tropes the books use but i also think they are over hated

like there’s only one frank, probably the most influential writer in the genre.. him or asimov

seems like it’s an impossible task to follow up on his work and fit the tone and writing style, frank rarely ever tells you the answers with his writing he’d rather you ask questions and try to piece it together yourself

Like 112 pages into the first Dune book lol. I have all 6 of the Dune books. Don’t think I’m gonna read any of the Brian ones.

The paperbacks are better if you don't get the mass markets that amazon has as default. They're the ones that are tiny as hell that you have to crack to open all the way. I got that one for Messiah by mistake and had an awful time. Too bad you got em all, I'd tell you to try for a standard paperback. Better quality while costing less than hardcover.

Damn bro I really didn't like this. I have no issue with more philosophical stuff with a lot of dialogue, but the characters have got to be good. I didn't connect with any of these niggas.

I have finally fatigued of Duncan Idaho. He was f\*\*\*ing brutal in this one. Easily the worst Duncan. I don't care what Leto says.

Maybe Heretics will be better idk I might take a break and read Foundation first.

I liked Heretics much better. Teg is that guy. Top 3 Duncan Idaho. Cool worldbuilding. Great entry in the series.
