So I just recorded my first music video. I'm thinking that I could've done better with the editing. but what effects/techniques do people use for their video?

I feel like it cam out a jumbled mess

Hey! I saw your video and it seemed like a really great step into the right direction! There are a lot of effects and styles that a lot of people have so If i had to give you any advice I'd say you should make a playlist of all of your favorite music videos and just study them. Really a***yze what's missing from your process in comparison to the things that you see and start pin pointing what you really want!

In the age that we live in it's really easy to do things on an above average scale if you have the vision and the vocabulary to figure out what you want!

A few technical things that I can offer is stabilization sometimes? but art is all really subjective man! Just figure out what vision and direction you wanna go towards and don't ever give up! If you can do these things I have no doubt that you can achieve whatever it is in this life you want!

To avoid feeling jumbled it’s about what you do in pre production more than post production. Mood boarding and story boarding are crucial steps in getting out a concise end product.

Of course you always want to be leveling up your technical skills and understanding as well and you can work on tutorials on YouTube to get a better understanding of what abilities your editing software has.
