Folks gotta ignore 2words sometimes bro be disingenuous when he get in his feelings

I never said Wayne never got any flack for it but by specifying Carter 3 I felt like my point was clear enough. Picking someone apart for using similes is just lame to me unless it’s Eminem who delivers them poorly. I got 50+ likes on it so some people got what I was saying.

once again it's how they use it....it's the USAGE

put bullets in a gun it ain't suppose to go in and pull the trigger...

    Drake finding out

Ngl. This might be the worst take in this whole thread.

FATD is still by far Drake's worst solo album and Iceman makes it sound even more obsolete. Even the deluxe can only do so much heavy lifting.

Edit: Never mind. Habibti is his worst solo album. FATD is 2nd in command though.

I’m not gonna die on the hill too hard with that but as someone who loved Take Care as much as anyone, for me there are some records I want to skip and moments that feel dated. I just prefer listening to Drake’s 2020s work over his previous work generally now.

  • I welcome corny similes we not getting enough of that in this decade. no middle ground anymore it's either some lyrical miracle s*** or just screaming into the mic.

can't believe ya'll gas this album (literally his worst output to date) and hate on FATD (his 2nd best album of the 20s).

    ktt2 is dead

    thats not that funny

Id like to see you write a joke that good

  • 2words

    Yall will always find something

Drake gives a focused full rap album with age appropriate content like yall supposedly wanted but now it’s the similes and the beat switches that’s the problem. Riiiiight

    Lol, this. Like stfu, please.

I bet you missed the other part

Hittin the net for LOVE like a tennis ball

In tennis if you hit the net you don’t get a point, and if you have zero in tennis they say you’re losing “30-Love” or whatever. I fail to see what’s wrong with that scheme, it’s a nice little entendre

didnt know only whites and foreigners (?) dislike the same thing again and again

  • Iceman is a step in the Right direction and I am very happy with this album, i could see it having lots of replay value

But it’d be cool if someone in the crew could challenge him to make the songs

“Bulletproof” again like back in 2015.
And it’d be cool if Noel or 40 or 1da told him to chill on the switches for the next project

Because look how good plot twist and Janice came out and those didn’t have switches

Whether it's Jay, Kanye, Wayne, Eminem, Drake

If you're a rapper that's making albums for mass consumption, these cleverly stupid lines and hooks and runs are unavoidable and par for the course is how I see it.

Avoiding those lines is the mistake. They're there for a reason IMO

    Take Care clears sorry

Take care still goated. Idk if I'm biased, talk about a classic

  • Why did he only start this style recently? No one else really raps like this so it's confusing, does he think it's cold?

    These are genius level songwriters.

Same for someone like The Dream.

Simplicity is only really panned on here but in real life, Big Sean's ass or IDFWU is having him set for life. I think there's an understanding and context that's needed to be stated if we're going to pan the greats when they say stupid lines.

It's par for the course. It's supposed to be dumb, funny. You don't think Drake can think of something better than "I get green like earth day?"

Come on lol Putting raps together, and not missing the mark when it comes to over rapping is a skill.

Word. Even Em said it in the Crooked I interview. Not ever bar has to be the most intricate or the hardest line ever. Music has so many ways to land.

Whether it comes from the subconscious, whether you consciously made an effort to write what you intended, you put heart & soul into it.

Some artists(like myself) do different types of tracks. Some ragers, some wisdom/gem dropping, upbeat vibes, sad vibes etc

This era though loves to hate instead of seeing the skill the talented/dedicated artists actually are(legends or up & coming)

  • Niggas don't even rap anymore in this generation, and y'all complain when a nigga do. Stfu and listen to Plaqueboy maxx or something

  • corny bars has been drakes brand for like 20 years man
it definitely aint killed his trajectory lmao

  • Early Poster

And like dipset they really mean it

I face the way they paint me but hurts just like the Philly eagles

Don’t be surprised you see the whole YM in CA just like the village people

I rack up a tab in Chanel cause I do buy everything like I’m middle eastern

This s*** like the bag you bring on the plane, it’s gon carry on

this is the most elementary he’s ever sounded

The only one that was trash to me was the carry on line

  • DumpKing

His ghost writers have lost all the motivation atp.

Nah Make Em Pay is elite raps man. We’re not gonna do that

  • Make Them Pay and Make Them Remember is elite rapping dawg. Idk how you can see it any other way
