But it just baffles me how some of you think it’s s***, not even mid or ok
I think it’s because they expected a clear cut smash hit, as did I. Something catchy with more of a formula. Like a Nice For What or even a Take Care (the song). If they would’ve heard this as an album cut instead of a single, they would’ve been singing its praises. He probably should’ve just saved this & released it with the entire album. That’s why I stress the importance of an organized rollout that’s well thought-out. It can really make or break an album’s reception

Such an amazing songwriter during those years. Even a coupple years after that. Constitency is the right word. Used to be every line would hit. Every line was a quotable. Now he reguaraly has lines that aren't much of anything and some just outright bad.
