newaccount42069Too many tracks on here are trying to be other Drake tracks from the CLB - FATD era which really makes me feel like he has no idea how to make music anymore. There’s glimpses of legit greatness on here, but they’re not as prevalent as other Drake albums
And I’m a firm defender of both FATD & CLB. I’m not a hater by any means
This is the first time I've heard standout recycled flows fr. That said, the songs still sound good and kinda were reused from songs I liked anyways.

Halloween GangI like the way Drake does those “run on sentence” singing flows though tbh. It’s cool how he’s able to keep it going and bring everything together
I'd like the boy to focus a lil more, give us something cohesive and concise but I think he likes the stream of consciousness flow feels like it's more artistically natural, I can't lie, when it works, it works

BotneyI felt this way about some of the lesser moments on CLB, FATD and Honestly Nevermind, but I feel like there’s just no direction or strong ideas on these songs.
No strong melody vocally, the beats hardly progress or change. The flow of the songs is so hard to even grab onto because it’s so much long run on sentence singing with no beat evolutions to signify any choruses.
Drake (and PNDs!) music used to be so instantaneous and snappy. Incredibly immediate and well written verses and hooks that rival the best hooks pop songwriting groups can come up with. Now it’s all just mushy blurry dragged out boring vocalising over a beat doing the same thing for 2-3 minutes
