If you managed to read the lawsuit, you'd see that he never wanted to start a legal battle. He tried to resolve things without going that route several times. UMG forced his hand and now we're here. Either way, regardless of whatever announcements he's made, the album will drop whenever it drops.

Tbh though I don’t think anyone should be mad about this project not dropping on time. He’s dropped a plethora of music this decade and at least one project per year from 2020 to 2023. People have been begging he takes a break so maybe it’s a good thing that his next project doesn’t come so soon

I did, and I get it, but at the same time it’s not like the guy is starving his fanbase. Even with his endless delays he’s managed to put out one project every single year since 2009 except 2012, 2014, 2019, and 2024. That’s an absurd stretch of music.

At this point we’ve been fed more than enough to get angry about his next project taking long, and also I just treated his announcements like Kanye album announcements these days: it’ll be out when it’s out
