Prefer this song to anything on Donda tbh
So you slow
Kanye won
if this ever hits 500 likes they gotta delete drake sxn from ktt
And whats the problem with that b?
Nothing
Just to put everything in perspective. Kanye is in year 17 since his debut. Drake is in year 11. When Kanye started 50, Wayne, Nelly, Ludacris etc were at their peak. S*** is f***ing crazy that he’s still even competing culturally, not to mention he has alienated so many people and yet here he is, when he drops, everyone pays attention. Kanye made Fantasy year 6, WTT year 7, Yeezus year 10, and Pablo year 12. I think Donda in year f***ing 17!!! to be this ambitious and interesting is f***ing impressive. Not to mention the fashion and protégés that he’s crafted. Drake is making Views, Scorpion, and CLB During those year 6 to 11 years.
I think drake is talented, but is running out of interesting things to talk about or express in his music since IYRTITL. But I don’t think he cares or approaches music that way. he knows how to tap into pop culture and give the average person a song they’ll love. Kanye is too abrasive at this point to do that. He could make 10 “Believe What I Says” in his sleep but just doesn’t want to. And even in that song he’ll throw in a long sample to make it not as commercially appealing but if you like s*** like that like I do, you love it.
I think this CLB album, was the first time Drake doesn’t have a de facto smash hit in a while. I’m sure there’s a hit in there. But not that momentous one he usually has two of on every album. So it’ll be interesting what he does next.
Both have impressive runs in very different ways. I will always prefer how out there Kanye is willing to go and it just clicks with me.
Difference between a real artist and a pop rapper tbh. Different lanes.

Only when the hoes not of the art type are around

tonight
I enjoy Donda much more personally - CLB has some amazing tracks but it feels formulaic and safe personally. The subject matter is so similar to previous works and I feel like all the songs he’s made better in a previous form.
Donda’s production and writing is much more personal and creative.

Respect your elders
halfway into CLB and its exactly what i expected. very accessible fusion of top 40 pop-rap of 2021. its a nice listen but this won't stick with me the way NWTS, Take Care or Donda will.
having said that, i'm def putting CLB over Donda when the b****es around
CLB really isn’t that bad, I’m just not a fan of Champagne Poetry, Papi’s Home, Girls Want Girls, In The Bible, Love All, Fair Trade, Way 2 Sexy, TSU, N 2 Deep, Pipe Down, Yebba’s Heartbreak, No Friends in the Industry, Knife Talk, 7am on Bridle Path, Race My Mind, Fountains, Get Along Better, You Only Live Twice, IMY2, F***ing Fans, The Remorse, the album title, and the album cover.
Other than that, really rocking with this album!
