    After first listen of CLB

DONDA slightly comes out on top.
It’s such feel good music imo, and even though it’s a black album Cover it is like the soundtrack to a bright Sunny day on a Sunday afternoon

CLB is like the soundtrack on a Friday/Saturday night. From the pregame, to the bar/club, to that late Night Drive home it covers that whole experience/soundscape

    Completely different vibes.

    Donda got sunny vibes ?

TLOP and Yeezus aged badly imo. Yeezus was great when it dropped, had great shock value and drift from his usual work, but did not stand the test of time for me. TLOP roll-out was fun, but not really listening to it anymore besides a few songs.

I mean that’s cool but Yeezus actually still sounds fresh cause nothing else sounds like it. Most people actually praise it now.
Tlop is more of a cult classic but tbh still feel like Ye had the streets with that album.

I think that's mostly due to the length but the highlights are some of his best tracks in his discography imo.

Come To Life is a song that sounds like no other in his catalogue.

Plus you have to look at how far into his career he is, this album is a win in my eyes.

CD, LR, Grad, 808s and MBDTF are perfect albums for me. But all the sound and how Kanye evolved as a musician and even a person ain't for me anymore.

Yea bro kanye is just different. we forget how hes been the number 1 celebrity for literally bout 30 years now.

I honestly think he was right when he said he was the andy warhol/ leonardo davinci. Everything he earns goes back into art and you can alway hear it in the music no matter how garbage it is.

Btw i gotta hit u wit my new number lol i forgot to switch my contacts

    Yup

So inspiring to me and what I want to be doing. Donda and the listening parties rollout blew me away and I can't see what's next.

You still got mine or PM?

What are some songs on each album y’all can see your self listening to 5 years from now? Are there any?

NGL, nothing on the new drake album so far is touching views. 5 years later and I still have songs from views on rotation. Songs like feel no ways, Weston road flows, fire and desire are timeless IMO. But 5 years is a long time, it’s just that those standouts on views I could tell immediately would rank high in drakes discog

This kinda cut me up. There really is no clear-cut group to carry the torch because everything is too diluted and moves too fast

Trap got stale a long time ago. And everybody still on the trap wave. Pretty sad.

Ye spared Drake tbh if these dropped same day it would be embarrassing

Those gifs actually kinda show the soundscape of the albums. Donda is diverse, energetic and can be hype

CLB is more mellow, calm, laidback, more R&B etc.

    2 different albums

    Yep
