I'm firmly in the camp that taking your time too much loses the spirit of the recording. Beatles, Dylan, Neil Young, etc etc have recorded whole classics in a day or two and the performances retained their urgency and spirit because they didn't overwork them. Kanye the type of dude that knows his best performances are like catching lightning in a bottle.

You have a 25% chance of guessing what each song is gonna sound like. Is he gonna go into his clone dancehall bag? Hop on a trap beat with a trap artist? Is it the album closer over a sparse instrumental with the same flow he uses on all his long-form songs? Is it gonna be an R&B track with a brooding instrumental and low energy? He's been doing that s*** every release for years now bro lol
The only new wrinkle in his subject matter bag is his son, which he almost never does a proper reflection on and instead just uses it to get off a s***ty one liner about being a daddy lmao. That's ridiculous for an artist who's whole thing is him being personal and vulnerable.
That verse-hook-bridge-hook-verse s*** is played out, too. Drake is a legend and is in what should be his prime years. Cmon.
