i mean its harsh right? like Canada is a whole country those were his only shows there, i'm sure plenty of people travelled in... Kendrick / SZA were literally some of the biggest artists of last year. can't truly blame the whole city

I kinda can because they did a lot more than just cheer for Kendrick lmao. Drake is the biggest thing from that city hip-hop wise. He gave that city its cool factor in a lot of ways. You don't have to like Drake to not pull some weak s*** like screaming for Kendrick to perform Not Like Us again. That's unforgivable and that forever stamps the city as a b****-ass city. Yes, Drake can go to LA and get his shows off, no problem but no LA crowd will scream for Drake to perform a Kendrick diss again. It simply won't happen. It also won't happen to any NY, LA, Chicago or Houston rapper Drake should have a beef with. Those are cities that have the cultural awareness to not let certain fly, even if they're cool with the artist performing. Torontonians don't know anything about that. They're still busy playing little bro to American cities and trying to act/dress like them. That's why they don't have a major identity crisis over there.

It’s funny how yall screamed “it’s bots the song isn’t actually that popular!!” just to be shell shocked when it’s proven to be as generational as the numbers claimed

Drake stans slandering the citizens of Toronto is some of the most backwards s*** I’ve seen from a fan base on this site

As long as you're American it's ok to talk s*** about Canada. This is buried somewhere in an amendment I believe

Doubt he can get a stadium in LA to go as crazy with FM or pushups lets be real here

NLU was the biggest song of the year - i dont think in this instance at a concert that people should compare it in a bubble to Drake's diss tracks..

think of any hit song, literally a song that was all over the radio, they played it in f***ing grocery stores bro, ofc people at a concert are gonna go crazy when it plays.. I am surprised no other crowd wanted a replay though, that's surprising af to me

hey hey it was a popular song but that doesn't change the fact most songs that get that popular in the streaming era have something fishy going on especially in this unique instance with the whole label potentially backing one side thing

Which is why Torontonians are b****es lmao. Even LA didn't ask for Kendrick to run it back

Other places definitely wanted an encore, but it was definitely more noticeable at the Toronto shows, seemed like they were making a statement I guess

Good thing Drake going to Europe after this s***. He should cancel OVO Fest forever while he's at it. He's done more than enough for that ungrateful-ass city.

The answer is that if Drake won handily against Kendrick (very unlikely given who they both are, and an obvious bad move in hindsight) and recorded an anthem, people in rival city Los Angeles would most likely parade around the fact. However, this is not a guarantee; we cannot know for certain. What you're saying about other cities is also conjecture; Toronto may not have an established rap culture like Los Angeles, but the factors I mentioned earlier are why Drake's perception in this city has dwindled, as evidenced by the lack of respect he receives, some of which I consider unfair.

Also, you're overreacting to the "requesting NLU twice" incident; in reality, it does reflect poorly on Toronto, but it's not the worst thing ever. Drake performed B2B in Philadelphia during Summer 16, and they loved it too. Do we call Philly fake now? We're just in the moment, so we're overthinking this; I guarantee we'll forget it in the future.

And one thing that has been bugging me about your narrative is that you should stop framing Not Like Us as a Toronto diss; it's innately disingenuous, and we know it's mostly directed at Drake and his crew, as well as Kendrick's perception of them as fake. I'll admit that Euphoria (and the buildup to it) is a Toronto diss to an extent, and if people believe what Kendrick is saying on there completely, it reflects on them being pretty two faced.
