I lowkey feel Drake knows he f***ed up with this album. He got crazy critique (even worse) for HNVM, but deep down he knew that s*** was amazing and that they were behind the curve. He made that album for himself more than anything so the critics didn’t bother him that much. Feel like he made this album just to appeal to Yachty and his kind of younger audience and that’s why he’s more insecure about it because nobody is really f***ing with it like that.
