Not at all. It's actually surprisingly riveting, at least it was for me, but I was ready to hate on some of the archaic s*** and ended up wrapped up in some of the social commentary that the book raised with the monster that Frankenstein created. I know that people usually conflate Frankenstein the scientist with the monster he created as the same thing, but when you read the book, you're like "yeah, maybe Frankenstein is the monster after all"
