That's my guess but NLU is still being cited in the suit and that's what makes him look bad.
That’s how it ties together though. They allegedly boosted NLU illegally at the expense of Drake’s image and directed users searching for his music to that song. Without that connection he wouldn’t have grounds to sue them

No, it doesn't. Even if you make a case for Kendrick and NLU being pushed using bots, it doesn't change the impact the song had in real life. And even if he's doing this to leave his deal, he could have gone about it in a better way. This hurts his perception a lot more than anything Kendrick said imo because this makes him out to be a sore loser.
