    Read the actual filing document:

“UMG charged Spotify 30% lower licensing fees for NLU than other songs”: No source cited.

“UMG conspired UNKNOWN PARTIES to use bots.” Source: AK YouTube video

“UMG used Siri to misdirect users to Not Like Us”. That’s how Siri and btw Alexa work for EVERYTHING. Unless you specify the specific song and artist when talking to them, it will play the closest match to the request. It played NLU because it contains the lyric certified lover boy. Go ahead and try this with literally any other song when you aren’t exactly specific.

“UMG engaged in similar play to play schemes to increase the air play of NLU” No source cited.

“UMG paid NFR to endorse NLU” Source: a generic tweet by NFR about NLU numbers which by the way has the same kind of tweets for multiple songs including every single Drake song and project that dropped too, even 100gigs tracks. Another cited source in the lawsuit itself is a YouTube video where NFR are hyping up BOTH Drake and Kendrick diss tracks.

“UMG terminated employees with loyalty to Drake” No source cited.

“UMG threatened to bring its own claims against Mr Duckworth if Drake were to pursue claims against UMG” No source cited.

“UMG’s choice to saturate the music market with NLU comes at the expense of other artists, like Drake” Every streaming service and social media was saturated with Drake music for literally years. Now promoting a song is a problem when it’s not Drake? Delusional.

“Petitioner has a viable cause of action for civil RICO. HOWEVER, petitioner REQUIRES ADDITIONAL INFORMATION to frame his complaint” translation: we don’t have s*** but hearsay and conjecture, so UMG please provide proof of our accusations.”

In summary, they don’t have s*** but an AK video and a tweet as proof of anything. This is a last ditch effort by Drake to change the narrative after getting absolutely destroyed. It should come as no surprise he waited till Kendrick album release to do this to try and get some attention away.

Anybody with a brain and that can read knows that this suit is going absolutely nowhere and will not even see anywhere near a court because it’s based on literally zero substantial evidence. And even though that’s OBVIOUS, the crazy schizos will say it was shut down by the Illuminati

No artist has ever gone out more sad.

Isn’t he just essentially requesting data logs which would allow his team to review evidence? This is equivalent to authority requesting camera footage from a crime.

I find it very hard to believe Drake would sue if everything here is baseless but the way you break it down it really does just seem like a bunch of bullshit

I think I believe some pro-Drake employees got fired. But I'd like to hear both sides on that because it could have been them wanting to suppress NLU despite how much the public wanted it

I'm not an industry insider but I heard that streaming services do offer lowering licensing fees to promote songs more. Idk how this would be illegal though and why it'd be part of the suit

The bot thing and NFR thing are so obviously bullshit it does just seem like he's throwing s*** at the wall

Drake’s intention wasn’t for this to be an actual lawsuit. No serious lawyer would look at this filing and tell him that they’ve got a case. Drake isn’t dumb enough to not know this.

The entire intent was to take attention away from GNX and to have Drake Stans and online schizos make him look like a victim and a martyr. And judging by some of the discourse, tbh, it seems to be at least partially working.

    Drake isn’t exposing anybody.

This is all about money that HE lost. This ain’t even a defamation suit.

Drake don’t care about other artist. This ain’t no crusade.

Still hasn’t learned his lesson from family matters/heart part 6 to not run with random social media posts as factual news

Isn’t it just a petition right now? Basically saying “prove to me that this stuff didn’t happen” to UMG?
