what authenticity? cole admits he has no hood ties, drake admits he has no hood ties, most rappers who rap about crimes and d**** etc are low level criminals with no real "ties"

its not the 90s anymore man its a new era, you think kendrick is on the block pushing coke and that makes him a "real rapper" come on man

insane pivot. does Kendrick rap about pushing coke? Kendrick's one of the most authentic rappers, NOT because he's from the hood, but because he raps about s*** that's important to him as a person. Yes that involves him growing up in the hood but it doesn't have to, there plenty other ways an artist like Drake could be more authentic

Just because someone lives in a nice house doesn’t mean they aren’t in crippling debt. I’d argue that the people in the hood have it easier than those in debt bc at least the people in the hood don’t have s*** to lose.

lmao nah it was a bad take thats fair, but my point is still there man kendrick aint on the block being some criminal either, hes posted up in a multi million nyc penthouse

Kendrick's personality in rap doesn't revolve around being on the block lol

    Why did he do it?

Not that hard dude. If you read it you should be able to find it. Literally just pull up the suit and search for 'mad.' It should pop up if what you're saying is true.

do you listen to drake outside of what plays on the radio?

drake has admitted, on records that:
    1. he wasnt tough ever
    2. he hides behind his friends to look tough
    3. he used to be a simp and couldnt get girls
    4. he uses his money and connections to build a wall of tougher people around him

    what about that is inauthentic?

well now drake promotes gambling so that doesn't help lol. face it man drake is very hedonistic and I think it's a negative for the culture

People that live in lower income areas have it easier than people in the suburbs? Is this the argument you're making? Just wanna be sure

My fav drake is when he’s authentic. Like when he rapped about having give a pound back to his cousin, I always loved that bar, it was just real and most likely did in some capacity happen
