    if you read the entire draft, there's atleast three significant claims

    • radio payola, which is illegal and they have a specific claim or instance of this happening
    • the spotify umg licensing fee for not like us, specifically quoting the price (savings for spotify) when they played that specific song
    • removing any copyright on youtube and allowing streamers to make money reviewing the tracks

    1. That’s going to be their best case for anything

    2. Spotify offers that for everybody. Independent artists can accept reduced commissions for favorable algorithmic play. I don’t see why that would be grounds for a lawsuit for a label to do the same?

    3. As the copyright owners is that something they’re not allowed to do?

    I'd buy the "It's ACTUALLY about Drake standing up against the industry, bots and boosting's unfairly affecting everybody" narrative more if he didn't namedrop Kendrick and Not Like Us in the filing lol. He's had to have known this practice has been going on for years. Why's he only now concerned about it? It's obvious he's bitter about losing the feud.
