Idk about this one if the music sounds the same as past Drake albums what's there to evolve to

I find it funny that drake gets knocked for not being experimental. We could argue that he is one of the most experimental artists when you consider all the waves and different genre’s he hops on from drill to Afro beats back to r&b and trap. I think what makes his experiments seem lacklustre is because they aren’t jarring he perfectly blends it into his atmospheric 40 type beats/sound. This is honestly what makes him such a massive global audience. U know what to expect with his music. Sometimes evolution is just getting better and perfecting your craft and formula.

I get this take a lot, because I understand why Drake fans would love this album. It's his signature sound at the end of the day, but for people like me expecting something more I just didn't get it. For someone like me who likes but doesn't love the sound it just felt like the album dragged on. I'm genuinely happy for his fans that are loving this album rn, but for people like me I just don't see how it can grow on me when it seems so familiar

First two songs on the album are reminiscent of NWTS

Majority of the other songs have similar 40 inspired atmospheric beats with a pitched sample

Yeah for sure. I enjoy the album but I def wanted him on some insane beats. Imagine an album with him rapping on beats just like the Travis Scott beat switch on this album.

I just wanted to illustrate how loose these comparisons are. Thank you.

Exactly man there were moments on this that were promising but overall didn't do it for me

Glad you're enjoying the album tho and not just flaming me for having a different opinion lmao

Haha, I can think objectively unlike some other KTT users. Update us if the album grows on you 💪🏾

You just showed how dumb the comparisons are. It's "atmospheric" lol.

Yall just lazy listeners. The fact you even used a loose comparison to a song in 2013 is hilarious
