I havent checked for his music for 10 years straight tho. Once every 2 or so when there’s a new album. NWTS and IYRT are still great. Her loss was actually decent and a few singles throughout, but the last song I played more than 3 times was passion fruit or a scary hours track

It's not a bad snippet. It just isn't special or different from s*** Drake has done before and over more interesting beats. There's definitely a place for songs like the one in the snippet. I just don't wanna see it on a full length Drake project because after a perfect project like Her Loss, that'd be like regression for him.

Her Loss was a perfect listen from front to back. It's the first Drake project since If You're Reading This that I can play from start to finish without skipping at least one song. That means a lot to me.

Drake's next project will be a solo project and you know the expectations for that will be higher than whatever expectations people had for Her Loss (which turned out to be a perfect project imo).
