Nah he removed Lucky Lefty from Dark Lane or another rap track. I cant remember exactly
Vital was for Scorpion but Drake didnt like it I think. Probably felt like him bowing out/leaving the game type of track

I still think the song is mediocre but it'd fit well on a DLDT-esque project that Drake markets as a low-effort release. If that'd give us some new music, I'd be down for that. I'd also be here for a 4-6 pack release. Whatever is fine with me.

Really I just think that he cooks up a ton of songs, is constantly receiving ideas, is constantly working on ideas, and they all literally can’t make his albums so the songs end up landing elsewhere

No, it's more about feeding his core fanbase between major single/album releases.
It's how he's been able to consistently communicate with them nearly under the radar of mainstream press.
It's like a bridge to his most loyal listeners, which a lot of huge artist loose touch with when they blow up and chase radio singles (which is why they usually can't withstand top-teir music status).
